I've had a rather rough time going through the change but have resisted it as I am not à big fan of pills ...think iam nearly out the other side now and things are going back to normal but I do completely understand why people go for it as for many months it was like a living hell |

I think it is one of the best drugs ever but sadly atm i am not allowed to take it so i now suffer from hot flushes at east one massive one an hour plus night sweats on the same frequency, i end up day nd night with dripping wet hiar and body, i get very little sleep cus of it nd i spend the day and night sweaty and feeling awful, i am irritable and lack memory probably cus i havnt had enough sleep !
Iam going back docs to demand to be out back on it as isimply cantlive like this any more and i need to keep holdof my job and my sanity !!!!
I am happy to take the chance of the small percentage of problems with it. |

I had blood test done a few weeks ago as I wasn't sure where I was with the change. Turns out I'm in it but can honestly say I didn't know. The dr and I were both laughing when she asked did I want hrt. So no not for me for no other reason than I am coping very well with out it. |

We have just been through one full year of hellish times after coming off HRT, flushes, sweats, irritable, memory everything as described above. After a private consultation with a GP and some serious chat decided to go back onto minimum dose and live with the smallest risks, Alix has a great diet, non smoker, moderate drink and fit , the doctor ( female ) admitted to being on HRT herself and stated she was going to be on it for life !!, that gave us some comfort and helped make up our minds |

I was happily on it for several years.felt great memory good no hot flushes skin soft and smooth. Then i was found to have a form of breast cancer and they made me stop.
I would happiily go back on it as i really was more in control . Memory skin libido blah ! Guess they dont think you need all that once you reach my age .
Yes go for it ! |

Cutting out white carbs and processed sugar can really help with hot flushes. And buy a fan! Not one of those electric handheld ones, one of those pleated type like the ladies of old used to use. The breeze is fabulous.
Although and electric fan for your bedroom can help, along with no man-made fibres in your bedding (no hollofill duvets). |

For me definitely a yes!
I suffered with all the mood swings and really bad anxiety attacks. To the point I couldn't eat infront of anyone or be around friends.
It's hightened my sex drive like mad! I even encourage Mr tatts in his sleep so I can have my wicked way. poor bloke looks knackered!! |
