A Galaxy Far, Far Away & Spain |
I've only recently started posting from my profile in the Lounge & thought I'd say thanks for the messages, winks, mails & Fabs from across the UK. It makes a pleasant change from the Chat Rooms & Cam Rooms and the Forumites mostly seem friendly.
So, a couple of questions...
1: Have folk made what they consider real friendships from the Forums (as opposed to Chat Rooms, Socials etc)?
2: What is your fave part of Fab (Forums, Rooms, Galleries, Socials, something else)? |

Still quite new here an something of a chat whore, so the forums tickle me in the right way. |

Lots of friends in real life from here.
Plenty of fun too but it's about interacting and having a laugh that makes the forums.
The hot, filthy sex is just an added bonus |

The forums are where I chat and meet people. This has lead to real life social and other meets
I'd be bored with fab within a day without the forums. |

I browse and post in the forums. However majority of my postings remain ignored. Not that this bothers me but I cannot really say that I find the forums friendly or welcoming. |

What is this you speak about "
It's when you get to 175 comments without a single bitchy comment, everyone simultaneously and spontaneously orgasms.
Or at least that's the theory. It's never happened yet |

"Haver had a few meets and made some real friends possibly 1 or 2 enemies to but hey ruff with the smooth it's all fun "
Oh yes, you've definitely made an enemy
I love the forums, and have made one of two very good friends, and lots of acquaintances because of them. I would say the forums are my favourite feature of the site, but I also enjoy meeting sexy people, whether at socials, clubs, or one on ones. |

Well I've been here for 6 years and this has never happened to me, so doubt it is an easy task to achieve |

Made a couple of friends from the forums and a fair few acquaintances.
But I use the forums mainly to kill some time, perv and have a giggle and a bit of banter.
I haven't had one of these simultaneous forum orgasms either. |

So do mine, most of the time. Don't let it put you off.

I think if there was a way to 'Like' posts Facebook style, people would be pleasantly surprised that others do actually like their posts. I often like posts but don't comment or because it would just clog the thread up. |

Suggest it in Site Suggestions. Oh & a way to easily see when someone posts to threads you like (rather than have to search & play catch up). |

There's a button to see recent threads you posted to. Both on mobile and desktop sites.
Or click the green arrow next to your name (or anyone's name) to see recent threads you (or they) posted to. |

Crikey no I dunno. I didn't read the whole thread. I just meant me. I'm a clogger not you or anyone else. |

I think the forums and the chatrooms have a lot in common
its just that in the forums you have a lot more time to write something down... as opposed to 30 seconds in the chatroom...
the social sides are probably the same as most socials are attended by a mix off those people who contribute to the forum and chatrooms, as well as those who just use profiles...... |

I only like posting on certain ones, those that are meaningful to me and I have a point to put across, but there are some really interesting ones and some that leave me wondering ... do some people have nothing else to do? I do feel that many forums are for the in crowd and so it is easy to feel that there is an inner circle here ... but, maybe if you spend ages on them, that is what you get. Have met a couple of people that have posted on here, and already had an insight into their sparkling wit .... so the banter continued |

I like posting on the forum but if I used it as a tool for getting meets I'd be climbing the wall in frustration. I use it more for entertainment purposes rather than meet potential. |

Only on the site to use the forum now. I have met a few great people through it. I feel I have a couple of friends on here and mainly post the ramblings of an increasingly senile old fool |

I dipped my toe in the chatrooms when I first joined and quickly found they weren't for me. I do enjoy the forums and have met a few people I would not have initiated contact with were it not for them. |

Not been to a Social in ages. I prefer them in Summer but I'm kinda still waiting for Summer to really begin! |

Definitely enjoy the forums and some of the more considered threads. Wouldn't say they've enhanced my meeting people on here but they do sometimes give an indication of personality. Lots of regular posters who can possibly make new members feel intimidated. Luckily I didn't feel like that. So all in all quite possibly one of the reasons I enjoy the site. |

"
See what I mean
Yup.
Wyrdwoman, Wyrdwoman, Wyrdwoman
Noooooooo you can't say that
On my way!!!
Ohhhh fucketyfuck
We'll miss you.
Who will carry my coffin "
We all will Bladey.
As Scarletta says, I'm not sure it will increase my Meets (being the fussy sod that I am), but it does give me an idea of people's (online) personalities, who likes a laugh, who are the sensitive souls, who shares a dirty mind or similar sexual desires, or even who doesn't but will happily chat.
So far I'm enjoying most & learning to ignore others that seem to be negative. |

Yeah a 'like' system would be good because I often agree or like what someone's said but as threads close around 175 comments, don't really post just to say yeah I agree or like what you said. I read everything I'm sure everyone else does too. |

I rarely use the forums, Ms Muffin sometimes disguises herself as me and sneaks in to stir the pot.
I certainly haven't made any friend as everyone in the forums is an utter utter Bastard

I found the "Thread You Posted To" tab under YOUR POSTS, top left under Quick Links. I suppose that's the best way to get back to threads you like. So a on it will get you back to it. Though you get any (sometimes annoying) notification as you do on FB. |
