Its the same as slimfast really only slimfast is a lot cheaper.
Just replace a cpl of meals with it and then have a great big chicken salad. or similar.
And then your not starving yourself .

Thanks for the replies. I'm just finishing day two so far and haven't really felt hungy. The shakes are a bit bland but I suppose it's just a case of getting used to them.
My friend has just lost over 5 stone on it and she looks great. I've been to the drs first and they will do monthly blood tests to monitor my Potassium levels and if it's low I will have to eat the occasional banana. Am just missing the sensation of something in my mouth so far (no pun intended)
Wish me luck, I'm in it for the long hall...bought a party dress two sizes smaller as my first target. Watch this space |

The Cambridge Diet consists of cutting out carbs. Pasta, Rice, Potato and Bread.
Lose them four things for three weeks and you starve your body of carbs so it will start to eat YOU. That's why it isn't recommended for long term weight loss.
I lost 1st on it but had to start eating bacon sarnies again cos I missed them! |

I did the Cambridge diet in 2006 and lost 10st in 10 months. I felt full of energy and never looked so healthy. It's NOTHING like slim fast as it's low carb but has 100% of protein / vits / mineral requirements so you don't get ill. Whatever you do, don't use slimfast as a total meal replacement. Cambridge is a ketogenic diet meaning your body burns fat for energy (which is why you lose it so fast) and you no longer feel physical hunger (if you're doing it properly).
Unfortunately, I went into meltdown in 2007 because of several family crisis situations and over the next couple of year regained 5st. It's false to say you regain everything on Cambridge - you're just as likely to regain it with any diet if you go back to eating more cals than your body needs. At least I didn't regain it all which I've done several times before on other diets.
The only downside I've found is that it's hard to re-achieve that golden 'first time' with its novelty factor. I've tried to restart several times unsuccesfully. If I could get my A into G I'd definitely do it again though |

As a personal trainer/gym instructer I just want to wish you the best of luck with this, combine this with semi regular exersize and you should see results fairly quickly although dont be alerted if progress is slow at first, our bodies can be funny sometimes so you might find yourself dropping a big number of pounds one week and then a just a few the next, dont worry though as that is normal.
One word of caution for you, listen to your body. If you get any aches or pains then stop right away and seek some advice, ive had a few people come to me who had suffered pains as a result of this and it had a adverse effect on their overall health.
When you achive your set goal try to maintain a degree of fitness as that should help contain your body shape. |

"Thanks both, I have signed up to the gym too so going for total punishment.
It will be worth it when I can squeeze into my new dress! "
I was going to join the gym, but joined chams instead. Far more enjoyable workouts |
