It wasnt criticism as far as I saw it. yeah you might have muscles but you arent huge by any means (not being nasty or criticising just stating fact) so for someone to turn you down for being too muscular seems an odd excuse. When I see guys and think jeez they are too muscular they are normally huge! "I'm not a huge guy and am well aware of this (after so many years of training), and there wasn't anything in the actual thread that insinuated I thought otherwise, I saw it more a matter of many forumites personal insecurities being exposed and attacking me for that reason, hence my 'no hilarity at my expense' remark. But the odd excuse bit, people may well have different interpretations of what is 'too muscular', and I wanted womens opinions on what they liked and didn't in a mans physique, and why - there was no demanding for rationales as to why I was turned down, no underhanded attention seeking, simply an honest question, that no one wanted to answer. | |||

Plenty of competition on here and if you don't stand up and promote yourself, who will? It's a dog eat dog environment to a degree. So keep doing what you do. But on the muscles thread, honestly, take an objective step back and re-read the whole thing from a dispassionate bystanders perspective and I'm sure you will see (as you're an intelligent guy as I understand) that for the casual onlooker it did become a bit of a 'peacock' situation and a tit-for-tat 'my muscles are bigger than yours'. I accept that probably wasn't the original intention of the post but that's the way it evolved. And it was an entertaining read, certainly gave me a smile and thats the main thing right? It gave a few people a little bit of pleasure so that can only be a good thing!

But on the muscles thread, honestly, take an objective step back and re-read the whole thing from a dispassionate bystanders perspective and I'm sure you will see (as you're an intelligent guy as I understand) that for the casual onlooker it did become a bit of a 'peacock' situation and a tit-for-tat 'my muscles are bigger than yours'. I accept that probably wasn't the original intention of the post but that's the way it evolved. And it was an entertaining read, certainly gave me a smile and thats the main thing right? It gave a few people a little bit of pleasure so that can only be a good thing!
I always think you add good value to the forum with some great thought provoking posts so don't let the buggers get you down and keep smiling!
