Was chatting to a guy in our block of flats yesterday saying I didn't know whether I could be arsed to cook anything for ma tea. Half an hour after he'd gone, his missus comes up with a huge plate of Shepherd's pie

Work have said they'll extend the contract on my car so I can keep it til the end of my gardening leave.

The dog is happy as she'll still get to stick her head out the window on the daily run to the beach.

Fox is happy as I'll still be able to do the school run and 'entertainment transport' during the school hols.

I'm kind of happy as it means I don't have to shell out for a car (hoping to eventually get another job that comes with one!) - although I had been looking at some nice convertibles for the summer.

And it means I can pick up visitors from the train station.

One of the random bushes in the garden that my dad has nursed back to life has turned out to be peonies, which are my favourite flower

My gran used to grow them.

When I was considerably younger I was really disappointed when the flowers didn't look like little horses.

My car passing its' MOT. It's reliable, mechanically sound and all that, but after passing for the last 9 years or so, barring the odd tyre, I felt the crosshairs of fate closing in. Not this year, though.
