Just had to phone the bank up and the woman that I was chatting to had the exact same voice as one of my friends from here,tones,inflections,manner

It was really odd I had to stop myself from telling her about my weekend

slightly changing the subject . My ex girlfriend who was scottish , always surprised me the way she would be speaking to me normally , but the minute the phone rang and it was her mum or someone else from home she would instantly go all , 'rab C nesbit' on the phone , hang up and then return to normal speech again .

john Barrowman does exactly the same when he talk with his parents and sister. I actually find him even more attractive when he speaks with a Scots accent, sighssssssssss

) phone voice but then considering i work in a call centre its hardly surprising i have a 'phone voice'

I definitely have a phone voice. Apparently I talk quite poshly, but especially so over the phone. A woman I met at a social said she would listen to my voice all night because she doesnt think I have an accent (i dont have a Birmingham accent because I wasnt brought up in Birmingham). I dont really know because its just my voice and I live with it all the time

One of the girls I work with on Reception and I ended up sounding so familiar on the phone that BOTH of our Mum's got the wrong daughter a few times
