I know there are a few on here but wondered how many more there is?
No ecig bashing or smoker bashing please.
Just a place to say hi and discuss setups etc or maybe your new or curious about vaping and looking for advice? |

What is it about smoking you enjoy?
I have smoked for 14 years and struggled to quit because I enjoy the feeling of the smoke in my throat, and obviously the nicotine .
I enjoy vaping for the same reasons plus I prefer the different flavours. |

Do u not find the hit is less than half as strong. I always feel unsatisfied after a vape and juts end up lighting up... it's good for a discreet smoke though |

Vaper here, and have been for a couple of years now. I literally cannot smoke any more - it tastes too bad. I have one of those big battery e cigs that the cloud chasers use, but have it low voltage as I can't take a really big hit. My favourite flavours are sweet ones - vanilla, coconut, custard etc.

I think it depends what your using and what nicotine strength.
I didn't get on with the pen types as didn't get the hit you mean, so I bought a small istick and a better tank (basically something a little more powerful) and used a stronger nicotine level and I love it, haven't touched a ciggie since (even though I still have a packet in my drawer). |

I suppose it is mostly habit, I started when I was 14 the usual everyone else does and soon became a habit.
I enjoy the hit, it calms me when stressed but I also smoke more if I'm not doing anything.
So if vaping is better than not inhaling is it worth giving it a shot without the withdrawal? Or is it just as bad? |

I'm a sweet flavour fan too, I have mostly Isticks which I use on low watts, an egrip which I will use at 20w and a big gold and dimante smok Magneto with plume veil for dripping.

I haven't had anymore than a couple of very fleeting cravings when I first gave up and that was due to like you say habit, especially after eating and sleeping but I found just using my vape very quickly shut those up.

You can slowly reduce nicotine strength if you wish. Strongest is 24mg (that gets me going  ), the reduce it to 6/18, then 12, then 6, then 0. o easy to move down if you want to. |

And you'll soon know if you need to move down.
When I started going down in nicotine I found the flavour getting more and more peppery which meant it was too strong for me.
I started at 18mg (gave me an awful headache) and have after 18 mths gone down to 6mg soon to move onto a zero nic. |

Same. Never had the same feel to me. Currently on patches. Sadly I've not completely stopped, but have cut down a heck of a lot. |

Hmm dunno about that I just spent a small fortune on imported USA liquid which was majorly over hyped and I hated it.
That said I spent £50 the other day on enough Eliquid to last me a fair few months all different flavours that I love. |

Try a stronger strength. Most are 5 or 12 mg. I found the same with those. I now use 18 and 24 mg. Not smoked a normal cig since November. |

Vaper of four years, never even fancied a cigarette once the transition was made.
I tried the cheapo e-lite type first - it was rubbish, but good enough for me to believe a better device might work, which it did.
I've been through 4 generations of technology, and whilst the current dual bottom coil atomisers are ok, they are more expensive, don't last as long, and can't be cleaned.
So my tool of choice is a 3rd generation Vivi Nova tank - I have four of them and different size batteries. The coils/wicks last a week, but can be cleaned in water or isopropyl alcohol, to get a month or more out them, and only cost £1 each off the bay of fleas.
I bought a litre of 36mg liquid at a stupidly discounted price from a major supplier who was dumping stock of this size of bottle - it lasted literally years. Now I get 10ml for £1 from the 1 pound liquid site.
I stick to tobacco flavours, with a few drops of menthol and vanilla. |

Been at it over a yr now. Started smoking at about 12/13. I tride and tride to quit but was never going to happen I couldn't touch a fag now they tast discusting and stink to high heaven. I've a kbox mod with nano tank and mix my own liquid. Best thing I ever did. Anyone wanting help or tips feel free to mail and I'll help all I can |

Fellow vaper here...currently on 14mg, worked my way down from 25mg, still have a 'proper' smoke on nights out but don't have to smoke the full 20 anymore as I used to as soon as I bought them! Managed to book myself a two week break in Turkey after the first two months of vaping cos I saved that much money...best thing I've done! Currently on blackcurrant and liquorice flavour which I thought I wouldn't like as I can't stand liquorice but it's really nice!  |

Influenced by a fellow fabber, I found myself vaping and loving it. Still smoke, but not nearly as much as I used to. Black ice is the only flavour I found that I've liked so far. I think I need to be more experimental!! |

I just have a normal set up, nothing fancy and usually use a menthol liquid, I'm going to have to try and not rely on it so much as I think it's giving me a dry cough. It's helped me kick smoking though, last cigarette was the 18th November last year |

I gave up completely then ended up going back to 0% nicotine. I'm just using one bought on Amazon for £10 with cherry liquid. Very nice when it works properly but recently I'm getting a burnt plastic taste after a few minutes. And recommendations for a better one, maybe around £50? Seen people using what looks like a small square tank?

Real wood and brushed steel. It's very pretty and sits in the hand like an old school pipe. I have an aspire nautilus tank and long curved drip tip on it and it's a lovely vape.
Cost £59 for the pipe and another 20 odd for the tank & tip. Pretty economical on coils too.

It is indeed, the factory shop is on my doorstep, positives and negatives for that though, I end up going in and spending too much! Currently using the v-scope, it's brilliant, gives a bit of an arm workout cos of its weight!!! |

Vaping for two years now, using a mechanical mod with a kayfun clone tank with custard juce. Thinking of upgrading to a innokin cool fire 4 for out and about. Too many new devices to chose from!! |

Vaper since January still using basic pen type battery and disposable tank. Want to upgrade but I haven't got a clue about any of it!
Vaping a lush mint toffee flavour at them moment, my local shop has some awesome flavours! |

Ive been vaping since october and havent touched a ciggy since. Currently have an istick battery and ospire dual coil top.
And vaping vanila custard.
The only draw backs ive found so far is...
The money saved then goes on new coils and tanks and trying new liquids lol
And the second drawback is.... I cant put the bloody thing down. Im on it constantly but at least ive dropped down the nicoteen strenth.
My doctor now classes me as a non smoker even though i said im vaping.
Oh... And ive put on weight |

I didn't get on with the pen types as didn't get the hit you mean, so I bought a small istick and a better tank (basically something a little more powerful) and used a stronger nicotine level and I love it, haven't touched a ciggie since (even though I still have a packet in my drawer)."
just ordered a 20w istick and nautilus head, currently using an electron-M but being discontinued means you can only get atomisers now. I stick with low nicotine, decided it was time to cut down but still have a few real cigs a day tho... |

so my new gear turned up the other day, set it up and blimey, not touched a real cig since! ok it's only a couple days but the difference with a proper tank compared to the other rig is more than I expected
Could well end up having a couple real ones over the weekend tho lol |
