My son left school today, for good!!
He so pleased (obviously) and extremely excited for later as he is having some friends round later and having a party in the garden (even in the rain )
There was a post back along about school leavers drinking in the park. I remember my son wouldn't be doing it!
I take it back! He is, but In our back garden. I've even supplied him with some drink.
He doesn't ask for much and is missing his Prom so figured I had to give on something.
I haven't been sable to sleep properly thinking of this party and all his friends drinking etc.
please tell me everything is going to be ok!? I don't really want to be responsible for very d*unk 16 year olds.
I'm actually shitting myself about it
Guess I just needed to vent |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
I would be worried about sanctioning drinking with his friends. Do all of their parents agree to them being offered alcohol?
Of course, when I was young, my father used to force us to drink, alcohol was freely available but for parties with friends we would go through the rite of passage that is sneaky drinking.
You won't know the tolerance each of his friends has to alcohol so be prepared to clean up some sick.

I will be inside the house. I will check out the window a few times. |

They're bringing own drink it just bought some for my son.
As far as I'm aware their parents know they go to parties and drink. My son always tells me.
That's the thing lickety, I have a phobia of sick! I thinks that part of the reason I'm shorting myself. |

Try to avoid allowing spirits in. If you can keep it to beer and wine only it will probably work out OK.
Also, if possible, use smaller glasses for the wine and have the bear available in smaller bottles and cans. |

Then tell your son that if any of his friends gets so d*unk they are vomiting he has to clear it up. That'll help police it. Have a chat to him to check there isn't a pharma party culture too.

I think....and i'm sure your son does to....that you are a great mum for allowing this
I would tell him that if any of his friends get out of hand then you would consider sending everyone home. They probably all got mobiles so you should have no problems contacting parents to come and collect should you need them to!!
Good luck B x |

Threaten him. Tell him if he and his friends get wasted you will:
A Run around the garden with your tits out singing She'll be coming round the mountain.
B Copy all his naked baby pics onto Instagram,Facebook and Twitter for all his school friends to see.
C Video the whole thing and put it on Youtube so they can watch it back and see themselves acting like dickheads and throwing up into the azaleas. |

My son left school today too & he's going to a party tomorrow.
I've bought him some beers to take with him.
We all drank at that age, would be silly to deny them a drink.
And I agree about not making a big deal of having a drink. My son is a lot more open with me about things than I was with my parents who were very strict about stuff which meant me doing things behind their backs. |

Did you ever consider aquiring/hiring a local tart for them?
That would quieten a few of them down. At least until they'd had their turn and realise life does go on. |

Give them a surprise and order a few pizzas to share. You'll have to go down to pay for it and then dole them out and you'll not only be making sure they eat as well as drink but you'll be able to cast an eye over the proceedings without seeming like an over attentive parent |

And at least under your watchful eye he just got hammered in a safe place where people looked out for him instead of getting alcohol poisoning in a wood (or somewhere similar) with mates who are young and inexperienced and may have panicked. |
