I have noticed that when a guy has not had sex for a while and wants a women it is more harder for him to get someone.
Why do some women like men who are not desperate for sex and have plenty?
Like your single no one wants you as soon as you get a partner everyone is knocking lol
remember it is just a question. |

Because if you're desperate and have no other offers it implies that you're a bad choice if mate (ie other females have already deemed you worthless).
Where as a man who is confident and not desperate because he has options is desirable, as clearly he is good mate material (other women have already chosen him too)
It's all a bit primitive but basically it's like of you're in a queue at a new bar or coffee shop or something and everyone is ordering one specific item you get tempted to try it as it must be good for everyone to want it. |

That can't be it... the women on here seem to assume all you single guys are married anyway.

"My verification summary suggests I've had no meets for months. Wrong. I've had repeat meets and they don't bother leaving up to date veris. I think people know by now im real enough. "
I've had veris on my old account but not even a single opertunity for a meet since I've been back (not that I'm trying that hard I'm mostly here for the forums unless somebody comes along and changes that!) |

There is some truth in this.
When I was in a relationship recently I changed my profile to reflect this and also clearly stated that I was unavailable for meets etc.
I regularly received messages from women and couples offering me meets. Fast forward to now, when I'm single, and the number has reduced significantly. Given the attitude towards cheats on here I find it weird that many actively encourage cheating. |

It's something I observed a few years ago after I got married. As a single man very little succes with the ladies.
As a married man I was constantly popular with women. Never tempted or strayed before that can of worms gets opened.
I've been divorced for years now, so back to single man success.
I wonder if women are more comfortable around attached men as subconsciously they are less likely to hit on them? |

Not sure veris activity correlates to meet activity. If so then we're screwed. |

When a single guy on here, Mr was pretty much ignored by couples and lots of single women - even as far as not responding to messages, etc. Now lots of messages on his single profile, because he mentions he is also part of a couple ... generally everyone is much more pleasant. |

I think it's more simple.
If you are in a good place mentally and physically, you are more relaxed, happy and confident.
Which ladies would feel special when they are the target of a desperate fella who will settle for anything and is talking literally like a dick?
In comparison, which ladies will respond well to a man who makes them smile, is relaxed and who is giving them attention and chasing them despite not actively searching for sex? (no, I'm not looking, but you are special)
Ladies: you'll do, or you're special? |

I definitely notice it too. I was in a couples profile on here and we would get messages from men and women and couples daily. My new singles profile I get 1 or 2 a week if that. Rarely get any response now :/

Spot on.
Whilst scratch'n'sniff technology hasn't reached the site yet you can still smell the horn/desperation in some status updates/forum posts/messages.
It's obvious when someone's gone without for a good while.

It's clear by the way some single people on here interact with others that there's a very good reason why they're single (Some, not all, before anyone pounces!) |

I'd say that pretty much covers it.

Yes obviously many people are single by choice. That's why I said "some". |

Years ago a mate of mine commented that women can metaphorically 'smell' weather you're single or not and act accordingly.
I think he was closer to the mark than he realised. |

Exactly the same with me, as I don't display more than one verification from any particular person, and the two new meets I have had this month are not into writing or receiving them, which is fine by me. |

Its also very noticable on the forums..sometimes you can almost see the person practically putting their hand up, jumping up and down going 'me, me, pick me'... |

Twice, actually. Maybe saying it three times would have worked. Or you could have listed all of the exceptions. |

Everyone wants a bit of what they can't have.
Forbidden fruit is tastier.
It's been this way for as long as I can remember and can't see it changing. |

I have to agree with this. If you meet someone for a couple of times and verify them, then after that there is probably no need. I have had repeat meets with nearly all of those who have left me verifications. |

It's not flawed. There are some people on this site where if the way they behave on here is any reflection of the way they behave in the outside world are not capable of handling a relationship.
If someone is a catch on here, they might well be a catch in the outside world too. Perhaps why so many of the single, good looking and personable "single" men and women are in fact not single. |

Bang in this.... At some point people started to believe themselves superior and forgot that they are simply animals....
And at that, animals who are at best 10,000 years out of date for their environment. |

A lot of women want single unattached guys. If there is genuine attraction then I don't believe, in the majority of cases, that attraction is enhanced if a guy is married.
The issue is that desperation is very unattractive to most people.
Op, when is the last time you felt attracted to a desperate women?
The issue in my opinion is desperation, not gender or marital status. |
