Yes!- I guess a general broad filter block is fair enough.
However, I could have been 48 last week, and turned 49 this.
So last week I could have mailed them, but this week I cant.... 
I don't think I'll have changed all that much in 7 days ??!!
Perhaps age preference selections should be done in increments or 'blocks' of 5 years
i.e. 35-40, 40-45, 45-50 etc.
(I'm only gutted as they seemed like a superb couple!)  |

Whatever increments the age filters are in someone will fall just outside them and be miffed.
Clearly this person or couple is not as ideal as you seem to think, messaging them (if you could) would probably result in a turn down as you're not what they are looking for. |

Yeah but what if you were 50 yesterday and 51 today?? Got to draw the line somewhere!
My ideal age range is somewhere in the middle of my displayed preference. The outlying ages allow for the flexibility you're on about - maybe your couple prefer people 5 years younger than you but add in a few years to be flexible. That means you could be way older than their true preferred range! |

Yes I do find it frustrating when that happens but that's how fab is so just have to forget it and move on  |

It happens to all of us. I turned 50 on here earlier than my actual 50th. I was outside the age range for some. That's the way it is. Even with your age ranges being in five year blocks you will find yourself outside the range one day after you were once in it.
