that modern day Britain for you, there was a fatal stabbing not far from me last week, thing is they caught them, one was 21 so he will probably do 10 years and be out, I remember tony blair stating he was going to stamp down on knife crime, then a few weeks later in local paper a fine of 80 quid was given to a man carrying a knife |

I do remember the thread from the last time a teacher was stabbed, she died.
Now, that was an interesting read.
Good luck to the teacher for a full and speedy recovery, both psychically and mentally. |

10 years! I doubt it, the average term served for killing in the UK today is 6 years!
Life is cheap! |

"Stabbed with what though? If its a compass then, to be honest its not life threatening. My brothers and I regularly threw darts at each other. "
In which case you were very very lucky.
Even a one inch blade can be fatal with the right force behind it and in the right place. Obviously the word "right" should be substituted for the word "wrong".
The worst stabbing injury I've received was from a tiny pair of nail scissors.

"The little scroat has been found and arrested"
Good. Now stab he, see if he still thinks it's a good idea.
I hope the teacher makes a full and speedy recovery and doesn't lose heart in teaching..... |

"
You want multiculture, you get multiculture.
Me, i prefer yoghurts.
What does multiculturism have to do with it?"
Blame it on the immigrants so it don't make the English look bad of course. |

The crime committed isn't about multiculture, its a vile and violent act committed against a hardworking foreign black teacher! Go check that fact right on the news before attributing any and everything to multiculturalism |

I so want to make a "chances/fab/score/pricks/dartboard/luck" gag, but alas it eludes me....... |

If the knife culture that we currently see in the UK has come from the knife culture from the USA, then I guess you could say the problem is multiculturalism!.
The problem is, we can't say exactly why these things become entrenched into societies, of course we can't say this boy will get ten years or that the teacher was hard working or even that it was crime at this stage! Because we don't know any facts.
We could look to the Maguire stabbing, where her attacker came from a decent family, with a decent moral upbringing, he actually got life imprison and was warned by judge he may never get released! So it's not exactly like were slapping them on the wrist.
This mental illness issue that really does need to be looked at deeper to find the real problems |
