Earth is getting windier.

The earth has gotten windier the past 2 decades and even more so now, what do we put this down to? Is it down to the natural cycle of earth? Whats your thoughts?. |

Hard to believe that the world/earth is actually more windier than at any time in the past 4bn years. Perhaps the earliest guages were wrong?
Oddball Yanks are one thing, but Dutch agricultural sciences have discovered that these wind pylon generator thingies do use up the local wind and affect the microclimate of what would have been downwind.

It's the wind farms. In the day the wind turns them to make electricity but in the early hours all the surplus nuclear energy has to be used up or the power plants would explode. Consequently the wind farm generators are reversed into motors and turn the blades generating wind. It is quite simple when you know how. |

the earth has got windier because of the unbelievable number of birds flapping their wings and people farting. Statistics shows that more people farted in 2014 compared to 50 years earlier and birds have decided to embark on long distance journey probably to the moon to find out why the dish ran away with the spoon |

The daily express has weather catastrophe stories around every fifth day or so. All nonsense though. If it was such a source then I'd say relax as it could be poppycock. |

It is elementry physics and obvious to anyone other than complete idiots that wind farms do in fact slow down wind.
Wind is a form of kinetic energy, wind farms convert the kinetic energy into mechanical energy. This in turn means the wind has less energy. |

Looking at all the recent data my guess would be climate change!.
A warmer earth would produce more winds and higher winds as that study has found over the 20-30 years they looked at.
The Coriolis effect does have a strange effect on winds and weather patterns.
The doldrums on the equator being the obvious one and the rotation of hurricanes which come from it.
With warmer oceans and land masses the differences will cause increased wind.... So I think it's probably as well were sticking wind turbines everywhere to use some up!  |

Well it's pretty obvious they will effect the strength of the wind the energy is transferred from the air to the mill.
But given the vast amount of energy in even a gentle breeze it's a very tiny effect |

Hurrican Bawbag had its affects on Scotland a few years back, the Forth Road Bridge is about 100 metres from my mums house, and the wind gauge broke on one of the towers at 135mph. |

Weather weird cos of the air flow up past the west of Scotland isn't as powerfull
This then interrupts the normal salt water against fresh water because the weekend flow can't drag away the salt water
And science lesson salt melts ice and the more it melts the higher the sea level that affects the moon / sun /tides/sea temp and air temp all due to the gravitational pull that is now stronger and will only get stronger as the moon is getting closer to the earth every year and so on and so forth hence in around 1000 yrs from now we will have inhabited or more terraformed a star or planet and earth will only the poor or not mega rich will be left |
