In Memory of Kim 19/08/1982 - 09/06/2008

It is the first anniversary of the death of Kim aka kimmyxxx25 aka ms_redwinged1 today, who was an active and much loved member of fab.

I thought it would be nice to have a thread where people could leave their thoughts and memories of Kim that I will then pass on to her mum.

I went to the crematorium on sunday to lay flowers at her memorial plaque and the pictures are on my facebook profile if anyone wants to see them.

OK guess im going first.

Kim was my best friend on fab during a very tough time before and after my back operation. She was always there to listen and support me. Since her death there is a huge hole in my life, I miss her every day. She was funny, caring, loving, and her whisper cock-ups were legendary - even worse than mine lol.

Kim had a tough life herself with her illness but she didn't let it stop her doing the things she wanted to do.

She said once that I was her best friend, I replied 'I don't know why cos I'm and old bat', to which she said 'Yes but you are my old bat'

So this 'old bat' is saying love you forever Kim xxxxxx

I did'nt know Kim but I was aware of what had happened from another site ( I think?) as I recognise the name

How quickly a year has passed and I hope all those who were close to her are at a stage where all the memories make them smile and laugh instead of cry

I didn't know Kim at all really, apart from her posts on the forum, but she made me chuckle. I remember the thread about her passing away, has it really been a year already.

someone once said to me, that in order to start the healing process you have to go through the first anniversary of everything, ie birthday xmas death etc. How very true this is, so hopefully the healing process will start now

Didn't know the lady but wishing her at peace in a new world...

and if she added to 'Fab' to make it the great site that it is today and I reap the fun times from that.. the very least I can say is ' thank you kim xxx '

Cant believe its been a year since Kim, or Kimmy as she was affectionately known as, has sadly left us.

She was the soul of any chatroom she went into and her wit was second to none. I remember times when I used to turn to her for advice from time to time. But the things I will always remember is when no matter how sad or down a person would be feeling, Kimmy would have them smiling within minutes and how the whole room used to roar with laughter when she used to drop a clanger of a whisper, oh and not forgetting her pink hair. Still makes me smile.

Kimmy, if your looking down from above and reading this....just wanted to say your very much missed and thank you for your advice, thank you for making me smile and laugh, but most of all, thank you for being a true friend. luv n miss u xxx

I didnt know this lady, wish I had have known her though, she seems like she was one of the genuine and lovely fab members. May all her friends smile when they remember her, will make her feel closer.

I wish i had known kim but alas i didnt find this site till after the fact

I no she was a dear friend of yours babe and i'm sure she would be happy that you have found someone who loves you. I feel i no her a little from all the things you have told me so far and hope to get to no her better from what you will tell me in the future. That could never make up for meeting her in person as i would have liked to have done as i'm sure we would have all got along well.

We hadn't been on long before Kimmy passed away. Did get to chat in the room along with plenty of others and can understand why she is missed.

I didnt know this person.

But for my short time here on Fabs know how quickly you get to know peoples forums persona's and the few you have good chance to meet - real persona.

This lady sounds like a very special lady, i hope you all have happy memories, and celebrate what was her life.

She is looking down on you now so dont you mis-behave - unless its in a good way.

I was Kims Boyfriend and remember all when she came on line with her julesssssssssss, maudster and kitty and kims insults the conversations on msn. I remember all the laughs and fun I had with Kim she was only 26 but crammed so much into her life there is a lesson for us all live for today and not for tomorrow my only regret is she is not hear to defend my actions as she is the only one who truly knew.

I haven't been on that much to notice this thread hence the reason why it is so late. I knew Kim as Ms_redwinged and we used to have a reet royal laugh on MSN. Although i didn't know her as well as some did on here, for the time i knew her she made a fair ol' impact on me. When i got told she died i cried for a very long time. She was a special person and meant so much to a lot of people including me.

So lets just remember Kimmy and not get into debates and discussions as this is not what the thread was made for.

hi i just came across this thread, i have goose bumps reading it, im so sorry u lost a dear friend and by the sounds of things she sounded a wee cracker!!! i didnt know the girl or had the pleasure of chatting to her, its very tragic someone so young has been taken who had their whole life ahead of them,shes now an angel in the sky looking down on all her family and friends!!
