Advice on which web cam

Hi looking for some general advice as considering buying a web cam as opposed to using the one on my Dell lap top !

Use windows 7 hate windows 8 so for those that have knowledge and experience of web cams. Just need something simple as Im no PC geek.

It all looks a bit confusing to me 5 megapixel 8 mega focus range etc:
