Hi all! I got an interview at Boots tomorrow which I'm looking forward to but also really nervous! My brain isn't switched on tonight because what they asked me is this...
"In preparation for one of the exercises, please give some thought to a product which really appeals to you personally and is likely to be available in the store you're applying to"
I mean do I choose a product that really appeals to me, or bullshit? ahh.
Any help would be greatly appreciated lol |

I think its best to pick something that does appeal to you, that way when you talk about it will sound sincere. The product itself could be something that you buy from elsewhere but is still available in boots |

They'll probably want you to do an impromptu presentation/ sales pitch so pick something practical, I'd suggest a rechargeable toothbrush |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
Practice on us.
What is the product you buy most often in Boots?
What product do you go to Boots specifically to buy?
If it's available elsewhere why do you go to Boots?
Is it a Boots own product?

Chose something you can talk passionately about. Know your product inside out. Who makes it, ingredients, what it does, key selling points, why should I buy it from you at Boots and not a competitor. Maybe think about a seasonal product like fake tan, where will it be placed in store, what products should it be near to promote increased sales. Id want to know you had done your research and could sell me that product.
Good luck hun. You can do it! |

Choose a no7 product that you like, then you can expand on why you like it, how it makes you feel, (confident in yourself etc) the value for money, the linked offers, how the range is adaptable for all occasions etc.
When they ask you to go on the shop floor, remember to smile and ask people how can you help them

Lol, thanks for all the ideas...would it be cheeky if I had A look round the store before my interview? I was gonna choose No7 but thought that'd be too obvious. |

If it works for them in getting the people they want why would they change it?

Well good luck with that one, maybe some perfume you like or particular brand of make up?
I am applying for a parts delivery driver as my contract at my present job that involves admin and customer services runs out at the end of June so I have to think of why I want to work for the company and want the job, desperate for money/job won't get me an interview |

I must admit the women that work at boots have one of the best customer service! I go in once a month and they know me (or pretend) every single time! So I would think that would also be high on their agenda, but good luck and hope it all goes well x |

No it wouldn't and I always check out the companies website so I can mention something from it |

I wouldn't be able to resist - it would have to be flavoured lube or something similar and I'd go into intimate detail as to why I liked this particular product - just to see the look on their faces |
