"Bit of a dull race but glad Hamilton did rosberg"
AGREED.. And Bottas came 3rd. He's a talented guy with great charm and little ego. Come the end of the season, wouldn't be surprised if the men in red offer him Kimi's seat. |

"All sorted. Burgers on the barbie, Molson chilling,Waffles,Maple ?? syrup and ice cream for afters.
How about Alonso to Williams?
He deserves a decent car."
It could happen.. Can't see Williams holding onto Massa for too much longer.. And then McLaren would have to fill 2 seats.. and that's coming from a McLaren fan |

I do wonder if the boys in red will grab Bottas to replace Kimi, i think it will all depend on how Bottas goes this season. Although perhaps he should hold out for Mclaren they will get the sorted!!
One problem i do see is that there are a few drivers coming to the end of the line in 1/2 years and there going to be a few empty seat up for grabs. And both Mclarens will need a news drivers during this time too.

"Was there any positive id on the creature that scampered across the track? That was the most exciting part of the event.
(still more interesting than England vs Rep. of Ireland)"
It would have certainly spiced things up if the little bugger left a stinky brown land mine on track, eh? |

There was no competition when Schumacher was winning. But then Bernie was probably getting a bung off Ferrari. |

"F1 has been ruined by the rules surrounding tryes, fuel and drivers penalties.
The need to have a good long look at it a scrap most of those rules."
There's always been rules. I loved the Senna, Mansell, Prost days.
Less computer input, 3000 manual gear changes per race, 1 tank of fuel, 1 set of tyres.
Senna was Senna, Prost took it easy on full tanks, saved his tyres, Mansell fucked his tyres and pushed his car over the finish line and collapsed because he'd run out of fuel.
They've got too much info now, managing fuel, brakes, tyres, adjusting engine management. It's only when it rains that it all gets mixed up. |

Eh? They had refuelling in the Days of Mansell, Senna and Prost it was only stopped in 2010, they also had extra tyres and even a spare car.
Limiting things allows more teams to take part but reduces the spectacle.
F1 is suppossed to be the top of the tree sport and should have as few regulations regarding the cars as possible rather than as many as they can think of as today.
Any rule should only be there for safety reasons.
In the same way driver penalties should be looked at more closely as at present there is no consistancy and as a result drivers are not overtaking in case of a penalty.

"When commentators speak of track temp fluctuating by 0.5? you know it's a dull race .
And as for coasting into corners to save fuel ! It's hardly pushing to and beyond limits ."
I really dislike the coasting idea too. They're supposed to be racing and pushing their limits and the limits of the car. Not saving polar bears and hugging koala bears. Let them race. |

I think the sport needs a big shake up . Personally I would get rid of the majority of the software , I would bring in more than one brand of tyre , leaving tyre choice too the team's , refuelling optional , and at the beggining of a season , a basic set of rules on car spec and engine size , then leave it to the team's to develop in their own right , oh and more drivers like James Hunt |

I'd bring in speed limiters too. Make all the cars the same speed. It would level the playing field somewhat and also show the truly talented drivers above the ones with the fastest car. |

They tried multiple tyre manufacturers a number of years ago. Well, two manufacturers. One of them was Bridgestone.
I preferred it when we had fuel stops, but I do understand why they stopped them and, from a safety perspective, i'm in agreement with the decision |

Unless I am very much mistaken :
Refuelling was banned in 1984, and a max fuel limit of 220 liters of fuel per race imposed.
Senna won championships in
88,90,91 died 94.
Prost in 85,86,89,93.
Mansell 92.
Then it's Schumacher,Hill, Villeneuve,Hakkinen days. |

And which driver won it in the missing year of 1987?
A clue : His team boss thought he'd got himself a bargain when he got the driver to agree to a $100,000 a point salary deal. |

Anyone else notice that the more boring, the more stage managed (controlled by the team engineers) the racing becomes, the more hours the BBC commit to the programme, the Suzi, Dave and Eddie show?
Utter crap compared to former years. And some of those weren't very good.

Yeah! That's a good one. Senna finishing 3rd in Championship in a Lotus.
Shame Kimi Raikonen didn't win it whilst driving for Lotus. He definitely out performed the car. |

Don't recall all about that but it was Button about Hamilton.
Having an accident you say? Rather Hamilton driving straight into the back of Button in an odd place. |
