I want to say The Exorcist, but that more disturbed me more than anything.
One film I just will not watch is Pet Sematary. That's the only novel that's ever really truly scared me and I do not want to see that live, so to speak. |

When I was a kid it was Jaws, the music did it moreso coz it let me know what was coming
Last horror I watched was The Conjuring, made me jump a few times. Not so much scared me but I did yelp now and again

Jaws when the head floats out the boat scared me when I was a kid. Laugh at it now. On a side note threads is fantastic. Depressingly gritty piece of film. |

"Tbh i don't remember every being scared by a film. Tales of the unexpected however did scare me when I was very young."
OMG yes!!
The title music alone was enough to scare the bejesus out of me |

The Exorcist and the Omen. I was a Catholic teenager with a strong religious upbringing so those two films resonated with my fears at the time. I love the Omen and the Exorcist bemuses me now. Salem's Lot also scared the crap out of me but I loved it |

No
Though Jack Nicholson is of course the Joker... The "other Harley's" boyfriend.
This satisfies my film nerd connections. |

newest I watched last night:
while not being scary as such..in my opinion its better than anything thats been touted for the last few years.
"we are still here"
its pretty bloody gory!- but not like those pish torture films (I hate them being classed as horror!) |

Salem's Lot is my all time favourite novel ever, but it's the only ever other novel to really scare me. Pleasant surprise to learn the book's scarier than the film! |

"And anything involving dolls is a big no no.
Ooooh yes and scary arse clowns ~ Stephen King's 'It' "
Never understood clowns as kids entertainment as a child would find them scarier than anything. |

"I honestly think the only film that has scared the shit out of me and left me in a cold sweat, scared to be in the house alone for days is "Long Time Dead".
- Amy. x"
Oh, actually, the London underground scene in "American Werewolf In London" done it too.
In my defence though, I was a wee nipper when I saw it. |

I find most "Horror" films either boring or hysterical to be honest "
its not a lie..some films raise hairs on my back..or certain scenes do..the original amityville horror always got me..and still does..and its not even an intentionally scary scene... |

Which scene? The remake scared me more but there was a creepy child in it. |

There are no scary movies these days.
It's nothing but jump-scares.
The only way horror movies will actually scare is if they use some lime of virtual reality. |

the unborn was good in many places... upturned english bull staff head?
so much hype on the found footage has really ruined many aspects of horror..we dont need that realism really. we are supposed to say "YOU stupid cow/prick..dont go down there!!!"..when its found footage...all I think is..yeahh..your gonna hold onto the camera after that... |

I love horror movies, although as a kid when I first started watching them Aliens (when Bishop gets chopped in half by the Queen) really freaked me out and then Edward Scissorhands when I was a little younger again gave me nightmares for days.
But yeh, I dont really get scared by them anymore. |

I agree with Edward Scissorhands. I'm 25 now and it's only this past year that I've been brave enough to watch it |

the atmosphere in the innocents is quite disturbing in a real weird creepy way..its not a good movie to be watching alone when no one else is at home..lol I did enjoy the others too |

The Thing, it made me feel sick.
Jaws was quite bad too, i was only about 5/6 when i seen it, my dad bought me it as he thought it was funny after i had two teeth taken out following a kick in the face playing football.

I thought it was crap the first time I saw it,I'm a little anxious tonight so it's affecting me. Walking dead is scarier and I'm almost immune to gore. It's the suspense that's making me nervous |

i thought it was ok, as a zombie flick, nowhere near the book though.
The grudge shit me up, not normally bothered by horror films, just something about that woman in the bag, coming down the stairs, all jerky like and making that feckin noise |
