'We are the famous five' (theme to the Southern TV series of the same name) but I must have been only 7 or 8 so that's my excuse ! Mind you to a 7 year old boy the girl who played Ann was gorgeous |

Can't remember (back in the day) if I even bought singles first?
But earliest memory of purchasing a record was when I was 10.
Complete Madness (the best of Madness) from 1982.
I am sure I still have the vinyl somewhere around?

On Tape - AC/DC: Highway to Hell
On Vinal - Rush: Signals
On CD - Marillion: Clutching at Straws
On Download - none (and don't intend to unless there is no other option - the quality is not good enough) |

"Stand and deliver Adam and the Ants
It was an album. Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon. On vinyl. Still have it, and on CD, and on my iPod."
I never tire of Floyd. Saw them many times. Now have to see tribute bands. Aussie Floyd,Brit Floyd, Floyd Effect, tonight Perfect Alibi.
Tribute bands?
Is the London Symphony Orchestra a tribute band when it plays Beethoven? |

You're not downloading from the right places in the right formats then.
Lossless copies are bit for bit copies of CD's and 48/96khz, 24 bit files are arguably better than CD, depending on the source material.
Downloads don't have to be shitty low bitrate torrents or iTunes purchases.
The only quality issue is the lack of physical product.
