Good evening Fabbers

My what a glorious day, I hope you have all had the opportunity to enjoy this sun. It’s here at last , my where has he been hiding ?

The Pooch and I had a little natter about the music for this evenings walk. We fancied making play lists for each other and see who can impress the other .

I have made a playlist for my canine friend of live cover versions. I hope this will impress and surprise him. I was spurred on by a fantastic version of Dolly Partens, Jolene

So today’s quest is

What’s your favourite cover version of a song?

Mine gosh so many to choose from but I do like Springsteen’s live cover of Jersey girl originally by Tom Waits .

The Pooch Loves The rainbow connection by The Loves originally by Kermit the frog lol

Well worth a listen

Have fun ?

"Hmmmm i like nine inch nails cover of hurt, thats the first that springs to mind"

Johnny Cash was the cover. NIN was the original.

I like Muses version of Feeling Good, Morcheebas version of Summertime, and Siouxie and the Banshees version of Dear Prudence.

I've got may of the "Punk Goes Pop", which has many modern day hits done by rock bands, they're very good (if you're into rock). But my favorite has to be A Day to Redeemer's cover of Kelly Clarkson's Since you've been gone.

Excellent version.

There's also The Flying Burrito Brothers cover too.

There are claims that Gram Parsons actually wrote it (uncredited) with Richards. Aurally, that sounds highly plausible.

Oh my.. years ago, I used to scoff at covers. Then, I grew up, and learned to appreciate them, and actively hunt them down, just because they can sometimes add a new ingredient to a classic recipe.

A lot of covers I like have already have been mentioned, but here are a few more..

Dave Gahan - Love will tear us apart (I am a bit biased on this cause I love Dave )

Korn - Another brick in the wall

Kylie - Love is the drug
