Gloucester

Mine would be the beach, the sand the sea and the air all contribute to cleansing my spirit.

Crete or LANCASTER

It would have to be in the Lakeland hills.Such beautiful scenery.

Solitude, peace. Or sharing. . .

My bath - which I have painted with a scene from a photo I took in Belize.

I sit in my bath and I'm on a desert island

There's a small place called Arico.

Up above there is the Barranco de los Albarderos

I'll be there.....

A quite corner of one of our fields where you can lie naked and look down on a Green and Pleasant land (apart from the wind turbines)

On a still day all you can hear is bird song and sex noises

...Up on the Downs

On the top of a down on the back of a horse where all I can hear is skylarks singing. Heaven!

The beach, late at night with only the sound of the waves and a sky full of stars... no peace like it.

Either that, or a little grassy spot near Scarborough Castle where I can lay out with a book on a sunny day.

Any of the 7 beaches where I live. I'm so lucky to have them on my doorstep.

I lose hours when I'm there, so peaceful.

Sussex

There is a deserted monastic city called Gledalough in Wicklow, about an hour drive south of Dublin. When I feel a bit low I go back there in my imagination.

That whole area, The Wicklow National Park, Mountains and lake... So peaceful none could do anything but relax.
