"Advice given by my dad years ago:
"Son, you know you've found the right one when she can fart in bed and not feel embarrassed..."
"
That's exactly what my mum said to me |

When I first brought a girl home to stay the night my dad pulled me to one side and I thought 'here we go, he's gonna go on about the pill and condoms'.
Nope, he told me to put a pillow behind the headboard so it didn't bang against the wall... |

I have a note that my Mum wrote me many years ago, that I have in a tiny frame in my lounge. It simply says "just be yourself, love Mum." I don't try to be someone I am not, so it's always served me well.
There is a poem I love as well by Thich Nhat Hanh. Too long to write here unfortunately. |

Never make eye contact when you're eating a banana.
Oh and the old classic, if you're losing an argument just start correcting their grammar instead..... |

When I was at uni my tutor always said that as long as it's legal and moral you will be okay.
I develop and deliver quite a lot of events as part of my work and I use this and the added adage of 'chain saw juggling for babies' as a kind of legal/ moral threshold.
It makes sense to me haha!
