Ok. So I know I'm not fat. But I've gone on a diet because I'm sick of my belly. I hate it. I've had a couple of people ask if im pregnant and I can see myself it's out of proportion. It will go if i diet, but then I will be skinny. My face will look better. My boobs will be smaller and my legs will be thinner which I don't like. So that's my moan out of the way. Anyone else got any annoying parts of their body out of proportion. I can see boobs would be cool though.

"maybe sit ups "

I do them already. My stomach muscles are hard under all this fat lol. I'm actually quite fit. I do around five hours exercise a week. My job is a physical one as well so I do approx 10 000 steps a week there according to the old pedometer.

My bum and legs are decidedly chunky compared to the rest of me. I'm trying to lose weight but i know it will go from my boobs first. Oh well. C'est la vie.

Mine is my tummy too. Normal size arms, legs and bum but huge tummy. Often get asked when I'm due. I've lost over 5 stone in the last few years but it's still there. I'm like a ribena berry lol

Half the men i know get asked.

My legs, boobs, arms, bum, are all like size 12 and slim, and i have a big belly that bumps me up to a size 14, and my shoulders are a bit manly, i'm very muscly overall as well but not too much. I put a bit of weight back on my thighs and boobs this week though and like it (waiting for my bum to catch up).

Can't spot remove fat you'll have to lose it from all over. My problem area is my belly but it's going slowly, lost a stone of the 1 stone 11lbs I put on during the 6 months I was on the depo injection. Still got a long way to go!

"Heavy squats will fix your problem

What's heavy squats?"

I'm assuming he's talking about squatting with a barbell with heavy weights on but if someone is new to squatting they can't just squat 60kg 70kg straight away, I had a few months off from the gym and had to start back using just the 20kg bar and slowly increase the weight.

You could squat using the smith machine to start off rather than using the squat rack.

That's what I was wondering. If it's me. They sound like they may be bad for my knees. I do squats anyway(around a 100 a week) I do lots of jumping too. I can really feel it in my knees after. I don't want to punish the poor things any more.

The problem of wanting to lose size from teh belly whilst not losing thigh size.

Squats will solve this.

I dislocated my knee three times in January, my physio made me do more squats, and my knee has been fixed with no pain, when before I couldn't walk without pain.

I know, anecdotal evidenced is worthless but there you go.

No it's fine. We are all made differently. I just know how my own body feels.

If your knees are hurting stop running and jumping exercises as the impact will gradually make them worse. Squats are better but wouldntprescribe anything as not qualified! But should look into finding a personal trainer or physio who can help? As squats are one of the best bang for your buck exercises for losing fat! Especially from your midrift!

That's usually how it goes, thighs are bigger than your legs! If you're talking about calves then standing and seated calf raises are your friend.
