I've treated people with Lupus. Most of them were managed with medication and regular blood tests. I know one forumite who is a sufferer, I dare say they'll be along and give you a first hand account.

My daughter was diagnosed with Lupus a few years ago and was very ill with it being an auto immune condition.

Sterioids and calcium tablets will be prescribed and avoid direct sunlight or use high factor block.

She is thankfully much better and leads a very normal life so I guess it can effect people in different ways. The lupus association has local support groups

Thank you.

Iam worried about trying to avoid direct sunlight as my job involves spending a fair ampout of time outside and that can't be altered although i can use high factoe sun block
