Not on here, but in your business or personal lives? I know on here it isn't a crime punishable by death not to reply but I am noticing an increasing tendency for people outside here to just not send a reply. Is it becoming common practice now or is it just me that is noticing it? |

Nope i reply to very little. ...The bare minimum. Emails are so intrusive. And texts. I often don't reply unless i have to. My mum is always moaning at me about it. |

I guess the problem i have is that people expect you to be contactable all the time now, and i refuse to be. |

We make sure that either one of us replies to our messages....seems the right thing to do |

I'd argue they are less intrusive than a phone call which requires immediate action and a response. I much prefer someone contact me via email/text.
But no, I'm fairly awful at answering things being both a fantastic procrastinator and having an terrible memory. It's such a great combination! |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
All the ones that require a reply get a reply immediately. If I leave them they would get lost.
I get annoyed at clients who don't respond as I can't do what they need me to do on time unless I get their bloody answer. The forum gets more of my time when I get stuck waiting for their response.

At work, if it requires a reply and it is within my remit so to do, then of course, but not if it is merely imparting information.
If the sender requires confirmation that a mail has been received and opened by the recipient, then most email software allows them to send it with that option, which then automatically generates a notice back to the sender.
On here, no if they obviously haven't read and understood our profile, otherwise, yes. |

So much Spam email on my personal one so rarely reply to anything. On my works email I reply to hardly anything either as it's mostly informational. We use IM software and I try and ignore that if I can lol.

all work e-mails that require a response get answered, it would be unprofessional not to and I have a system for following up on e-mails that I've sent that haven't been answered after a certain period of time.
Privately if somebody doesn't respond to contact from me after three attempts I stop contacting them and assume that they'll get in touch when they want to....or not. |
