Thought this was funny. Was talking to a friend of mine he said pampas grass growing in a front garden was a house with swingers in it.

Is this a true statement ???

Think it was a myth in the 70's most people with pampas grass in the garden these days are swinging from their zimmer frames

If it is, then they're a randy bunch down at our local garden centre.

Only you and your friend know. He either said it or he didn't.

Yes it is true. There was a road near where I used to live that was well known for having lots of pampass grass and the meaning of it.

Having chosen PampasGrass as our Fab name maybe we should now get down to the garden centre and plant one in our garden!

Wonder what the neighbours would be thinking if we did?!

Essex.

I warn you now. It's a bugger to remove. I removed a large _ampasgrass from my grandparents front garden... Obviously once in their 70's they decided that enough was enough and it was time to stop swinging...

I was told the best way to remove them was to set fire to them. It might also attract a nice hunky fireman too!

Burning your Bush apparently encourages better growth because it doesn't damage the roots, I'd stand in the bath though, just in case !

But it was supposed to be a sign, especially on new estates in the 60's & 70's.

Any ex forces here will probably remembered the box of OMO washing powder in the window of married quarters too ?

I have a theory about ladies with dyed burgundy hair too . . And yet to be proved wrong !
