On acid?? Tripping out whilst giving birth sounds absolutely bloody bonkers!! |

Good lord, no!
I knew her son at college - that's how I got to know her - turns out his mum and I have more in common and we've become very good friends over the last 20 years.
At 73 she's the only woman I know who casually drops the C-bomb in conversation. |

Yeah, she said she wasn't due for 3 weeks and, with the prospect of a child attached to her tit for the coming 6 months, she took the acid she was offered.
A couple of hours later, she realised that the pink/red/purple waves she was seeing were in fact contractions.
She had planned a home birth but, with the acid and the fact the she was surrounded by three hippy guys tripping out and thinking this was some kind of 'great honour', she called for an ambulance and went to hospital and rode it out.
Said she was very calm and collected about the whole thing.

The one who was born on acid is certainly an individual but is currently working in Berlin as a programmer, earning E5,000 per mth, and is one of the most intelligent people I know.
All her kids turned out well, except for the one who's a copper, he was a disappointment :D |

Yes, back in the 70's acid was used as an experimental treatment for migraines and cluster headaches, it was very successful too until there was a worldwide ban on using LSD as a treatment for anything. |

No problem, saw him deliver the same preservation at the British Secular Society earlier in the year. He's also developed a synthetic alcohol that has an antidote that allows you to drive home after 15 minutes but a) the drinks industry will lobby it out of existence and b) it will probably fall foul of any 'legal high' legislation. |

Talking of hospitals and drugs I had a pre-med before a camera down the throat procedure. When I became groggy I had to gargle with something to numb my throat. I vaguely recall looking at my husband as they wheeled me out,still groggy, and saying loudly that it tasted bitter,like semen. He was mortified and tried to shush me. |

When I had my first child I had pethadeen and g&a I hated it felt sick n loathed the feeling of not being in control I then had an epidural
I nearly died thro blood loss I had an obe
With my second I refused all meds apart from the epi I had an amazing birth I remember it all. |
