"How do you perceive vanity? Self-obsessed, confidence or an extension of one's appreciation of aesthetics.
Don't be shy. "
Most of the time it's confidence for me.
For others?
Who knows!
Confidence is like a coat for some.
I'm a complex arse so my coat stays on.
I can however appreciate a beautiful face or body.

"I think self obsessed people are just that, self obsessed.
I don't think its confidence.
Being vain has a negative feel about it or is it people who just take pride in their appearance?
"
I'm with you there, being vain has always had the feeling of being a negative thing. I like to see someone take pride in their appearance, and I like to think I do, but I wouldn't like to be seen as vain.
But that's just me |

I agree with this. Vanity to me means that they think they are more than what they really are. |

"Gym selfies are vain as fuck
What of sofa selfies?
You're not in a room full of people watching you stand in front of a mirror flexing though "
Might twitch me arse muscles.

Towards the narcissistic end of the self-esteem scale and therefore to be avoided. I dislike vanity, I find it shallow and distasteful mostly. |
