Why is it woman get away with so much here.?

Men get it in the neck for most things . Woman can cheat and post and not get half the nasty post men do ...woman can look like back end of a bus men still say lovely ..? Woman could be size of a bus men still say lovely and sexy and a man with a beer tummy get it in the neck made to feel not as good as the rest .....why is it so hard to value men is it because they out number woman why we have this here .....? I find myself asking this again and again here why is it is different for men. We really are so lucky to have the lovely men here I for one am a fan of the men on fab. Your _iews on this please as it would be nice to know why is it so different .

The difference is women will get hundreds of messages a week the average man maybe 2-3 ( just a guess) so the women can be picky it's just how life is but more concentrated on a sex site lol x

Very sadly I think this is the reason.

The number of men here means that women are gold and we're in goldrush country. Some men will work really hard and not strike gold. Others appear to just show up and strike lucky. Some find a bit of gold dust and it makes them desperate for more. Others realise that fool's gold isn't worth the effort.

It's not all one way. There are sexist men here too.

It's not just women treating men differently on certain threads. Those gold digger men are happy to do down another gold seeker if they think it will improve their chances.

OP, the thing I take objection to in your op is that women look like the back end of a bus comment. So what? Not everyone finds the same look attractive and there may well be people here who find that person attractive. There are alluring pictures of both men and women of people who, to me, look less than ordinary when I have met them but their pictures are fantastic. Then there are the pictures of people who fit a standard idea of 'hot' or 'beautiful' and everythibg they write makes me think they are unattractive.

I remember as a young lad in the RAF serving in Aden the local women they had working on the base were so ugly they would make your toes curle but after three months being with out female company they started to look attractive which was alarming , so there you have it absents makes even the most ugly women desirable

It's certainly more acceptable when there is a weekly thread started by a man on how much he loves a cheating wife and wishes there were more of them. Then men post about the thrill they get from cuckolding some poor unknown husband.

I think the OP is a fair question, but please don't turn this into another man bashing thread.

To the OP...you are right, reaction to males posts are a lot of the time different to a woman posting. An example is on my green arrow, a man asking how to get his wife into this and a woman asking the same on another thread gets more polite and helpful answers than the man ( some have been removed on the male thread)

Now ok, you could say not everyone will read every thread, which is true, but for a while the two threads were in the top four threads in the swinging section so they couldn't really be missed.

A male posting a splitting up thread has received totally different posts than a female doing it.

I have come to the conclusion that if you have no growler, then you may as well liken yourself to something you scraped off the bottom of your shoe.

Us...we love single men....

Some men have the Mr Collins syndrome and think they have to flatter women to get on their better side. I hate flattery and compliments skim off me like water off an oily dog. I'd rather someone said hi,how are you and we had an interesting conversation about the weather than a paragraph of flattery. If I were cheating on someone though I wouldn't advertise the fact but would expect some derision for it.

I have seen men I think of as unattractive do very well on here.

The forum is a tiny microcosm of Fab. The reason people post here is unknown.

Some women like to foment drama on here and play people off against each other.

Some men like to fawn over every woman, ragrdkess of what they type.

Some not all.

There are a few on here with inflated ego's but that's both men and women and not just singular to this site.

On the whole I have spoken with some lovely people and have had the odd bit of abuse but that's why fab's has a block button.

The ladies do get away with a little more but the wonders of the lady garden will forgive a lot of sins here

I'm not saying you don't but with one post and a sense of being denied something someone could easily read your comment of preferring to meet younger as not liking older. People fill in the gaps with their own thoughts.

There is a post from a man on here telling women to look in the mirror. It's short and direct. How we fill in the gaps says what we feel on having such a statement.

One mans "back end of a bus" is another mans "beautiful". It's all about taste isn't it and thankfully we don't all have the same ones.

As for men getting a raw deal.....we do. But let's not pretend that women can't afford to be selective, and yes women are rude about men sometimes, but men are just as bad and a lot of the time, they're worse.

What is interesting is the reaction to men and women who are coming with the same issues. It really does confuse me.

I take compliments on here with a pinch of salt .

Under no delusions I'm no Megan Fox ect . Not here for a ego boost ...Thank god I'm not with some of the venom and bile I get after a polite decline . Both the good and bad I take no heed of as just comments of no substance as from total strangers . Only comments from those who actually know me well hold any value to me.

I treat anyone with respect , sadly some of the guys aren't the same .I make no apology for not accepting that and having self worth .

If a guy acts like a randy dog wanting to shag anything that's stands still long enough .they can't then complain when they aren't greeted by open arms (or legs ) as they hoped.

There are many genuinely lovely guys on here and I'm thankful for them, just sometimes feels that's not the case lol!

People become defensive when someone says they aren't attracted to them.

I concur,I would rather someone who wasn't "trying his luck" to someone who plays the numbers game and messages everyone. I know it's difficult to differentiate between women on here except by the physical attributes. We have similar pics and similar profile text. Men are constantly being told to stand out from the crowd. Our crowd isn't as large so we don't need to do as much to stand out,which is good because I'm lazy

Men quite frequently get it in the neck from each other on these forums, particularly in the married man/cheating type threads. It's not the preserve of women to criticise men unfairly on the site. Personally I'd prefer there was less of a double standard on that front, but I don't think the answer is to go to the lowest common denominator and start slating all the women too.

I do think that's wrong (and I'm sure there are also women concealing their relationship status) - but I don't think the current atmosphere where so many threads descend into being tirades against cheating men really encourages people to be more open. I'm absolutely not saying people have to agree, but I think if it were ignored more, then more men might be open about their status.

I believe in equality and equal rights for all I truly do but I find there is a misguided belief that it is ok to positively discriminate which only breeds resentment from the people being discriminated against granted my father and grandfather may well have benefited from promotions and/or better wages based on their gender but that doesn't mean I should miss out because a company has to fill a quota (and I don't mean me personally I'm generalising for my generation)

There are probably a relatively equal percentage of upfront/otherwise people from both genders on here, magnified by the higher amount of men on the site. There are plenty of posts throughout the forums relating to people feeling they can 'work people out' or 'spot fakes' etc...I guess it is all about intuition...that, and a little conversation to look at why people may be in the situation they are in.

As for the other element of the thread, I don't ever feel comfortable saying something just to further my 'chances' with anyone...Not here or in 'real' life.

Good thread though in general. Nice to be able to read this sort of stuff though...One of the good things about the site.

As always women are being blamed for the actions of men & asked to account for themselves in an atea they have no control over.

In light of the horrendous inequalities which occur in the real world against women & girls every minute of the day. I think the issue with raising the objectification of men in society is that it is still, relatively, infrequent. The male perfume ads do it too but I suspect the audience share isn't just about appealing to women but to gay men as well.

I don't think objectifying men to sell products is any better than objectifying women - especially when it's in a totally meaningless way. However, I am yet to see an awards event (I go to many) where the models hired to bring the awards to the presenter are male. We still see women being used to be draped over cars, not as drivers but as a hood ornament.

The OP was about Fab, though. At least here you see men being objectified almost as much as the women with the blessed difference that they have put up their own pictures and chosen HOW they will be objectified.

I judge and discriminate against people equally. If someone came on here saying they were cheating on their partner, male or female I'd say they were equally shit human beings as I don't believe there is ever a good enough reason to cheat on your partner.

As for the insincere compliments given in the hope of getting a shag, they don't impress me. A guy can say I'm beautiful with a good body and I just think yeah tell me something I don't know. Some just want sex and can't understand why it's so difficult to get on a sex site. They try different ways to get it. Women and men have always had a different outlook where sex is concerned. If we thought the same way as men there would be lots more women on here to match the men.
