on the Telly now is a pageant for Children, the girls are wearing full make up and are dressed to the nines, I don't get it at all shouldn't they be playing with their Friends and being Children instead ?  |

I was thinking the same after listening to the Mums, I'm not wanting to offend anyone really but I think it's wrong |

I think they are awful and agree with Sassy,if you've ever seen any documentaries its always the mothers and on accasion the father pushing them into it..........sometimes with real bully tactics,its uncomfortable to watch,the adults throw more tantrums than the kids  |

these are so very wrong, they look like mini adults, with there fake tans and false eyelashes 
Let them be what they are....kids!!!
The mothers should be ashamed of them selves, the mothers are more competetive than the kids.

agree with everyones sentiments so far, it so wrong!!!
let kids be kids ffs you are just asking for one messed up teenager/adult by making a five year old wear teeth 'implants', fake tan and heels
i was shocked last year when i went into a shoe shop an saw kids size 11 shoes with at least an inch and a half heel on them |

It is awful and should be banned. I like to see little girls in there christmas party dresses all looking like little girls in their best outfit. Not done up like some mini adult. As has been already said its the adults that puch the children into it |

It happens a lot in the States and i honestly think there is something really creepy about it. children are exactly that and should be left that way not dressed up to look like small adults. |

IT'S JUST SO WRONG!
Your not allowed to take pics of your kids at the local pool,in case you get other kids in the frame too.
But on the other hand,they put little girls made up to look like adults on T.V for any weirdo perv over.
Their mothers want a slap!

The trouble I had getting my daughter a bikini for our holiday last year. At the age of 10 there was no way my daughter was wearing 2 little triangles attached with a small piece of string. totally inappropriate. I searched everywhere to find one that was decent and didn't expose her.
I did actually complain in a number of well known department stores about the inappropriate swim wear they had for the young girls. Maybe more parents should. If they had enough complaints maybe they would change.
These beauty pageants for young children are bang out of order. Its far too much too young. The parents should be shot. The kids should be playing with their friend not getting done up to the nines and parading infront of people to be judged on their looks. No wonder so many young people have hang ups about their looks and their weight.

Its disgusting, it actually turns my stomach. My sister in law send me a pic of my niece only last week, wearing hair extensions, eyelashes and full make up, I had to delete it, it was just freakly.
Sexualising young children like that is disgraceful. It ought to be banned. I know its a big thing in America. And it does seem to be the mothers living their lives through the little ones.
I only have boys but there is no way I would ever dress a girl up in that way. Spray tans at 3 years old, just ought to be banned outright.
Do you remember years ago, cant even remember when, but they had a programme called Mini Tots and that was similar, little kids with full make up on, singing and dancing etc - its a pervs dreamland |

Agree with all the sentiments so far - it`s so very very wrong !!! Just don`t understand why anyone who is a mother would think it was OK for her daughter to be dressed and paraded in front of all and sundry in like this ! |

It is totally wrong, so is dressing young girls in mini skirts high boots/heels and low cut tops. With full make up on. Have seen many girls, as young as 7 years old, dressed like this in town with their parents on a weekend. Even in the supermarket. It is so, so wrong. If people didn't dress their children in these clothes the stores wouldn't sell them.
Sadly it must be a perverts paradise. |
