Everybody bitches about the 'hi how are you?' message. So what brief, if rather random opener would you use instead?

My normal opener is
"Sorry if I offended you with what I said in the forum, with hindsight I can see how I came across as cras/insensitive/glib"
Responses other than "Get lost, creep" I take to mean the person is too desperate/needy or has low standards/self-esteem so I simply block them.
Not sure if this method will work in the long run, but I'm hoping eventually to be left with just one person to target...
