Same as yourself for a club meet but anytime I go to a new 121 I'm cautious and go sterile as in no wallet, car keys and shitty fab phone just in case. As much as it's fun Single guys can be targetted easily by a pretty lass with a few messages. Once naked a few lads walk in and take your stuff. What can you really do?

Bloody good idea tbh. Until you come face to face with the person you have to go on gut instinct and trust. So many dodgy people about now it's possible something could happen.

I think I'm pretty safe. Hubby always knows where I am and I text him and send him naughty pics throughout so he knows I'm safe.

Im ultra safe on meets...as no one seems to want to arrange a meeting.

I use clubs as it allows me to dress.and they are a safe enviroment. Even offered to pay for someones entry fee to have that offer thrown back in face

Yes i see this on another site, a lady lured a man to her house, he was clued up and sensed something wrong, two men were waiting to whatever, he ended up running for his life, who knows what could of happened.

As a single I never told anyone where I was going and would quite happily invite people back or go to there's. Perhaps irresponsibly never gave my safety a second thought.

Central

I have friends and neighbours clued up and use clubs and hotels too. I'd never have guessed that guys would need to be as careful as some have said here though. I'd think there must be thousands of Fab meets a week and we don't get to hear of trouble.

But us women must always be careful and take care of our protection, fab or otherwise.

I have always felt safe and would like to think that anyone else would feel safe in my company. I am happy to have a social first, although this isn't a necessity, to establish some form of trust.

I'm not naive enough to believe that there aren't dodgy people out there, but feel I'm a good judge of character, and so far all has been good

I always take some mace, cable ties and some gaffa tape. Just makes me feel more secure. You never know what sort of weirdo you might be meeting!

Mate of mine went to a female's house as a first meet. Luckily arrived early and saw a few males through the window so just left. Could have been horrific. He assumed that as a man he was safe, could easily overpower any women if she tried anything...fool!

Make or female - a safety network makes sense.

I have one in place and am one too in return.

All too easy with drugs, etc to fall foul.

Add being ambushed and it becomes more so.

However takin the time to chat, social, Rac can remove a large proportion of the risk.

At least in here you know who the Crazies are.....

I don't do clubs, but I have a safety buddy only meet at hotels unless I know the person VERY well, and I always make sure it's somewhere in the city centre where I can get home easily.

I have a safety buddy too and if I'm meeting he knows who , where and when and I txt him to let him know alls well .BUT taking the time to get to know peeps and meeting somewhere public socially helps too and always follow your gut instinct no matter how cute they are ..

A friend of mine arranged a last minute meet at his and when he answered the door a group of men pushed their way in then beat him up and robbed him.

This is why I don't accommodate, we're meeting strangers off the Internet. I always meet for a coffee in a public place first, then any play meets are in a mutually agreed hotel and one of my friends always knows where I am.

We only meet privately but haven't had anything bad happen (thankfully) so would say we are pretty safe.

We don't tend to rush into meeting new people and always follow our gut instincts.

We've met others individually too and never had a problem.

Back when the earth was new and dinosaurs roamed the land, I suggested that there could a regular thread for 'safety buddies' or even a forum room for people who would volunteer / request 'safety buddies'.

The premise, put simply, goes like this.

People advertise to be safety buddies or advertise for a safety buddy. Typically I see this working as a same-sex pairing (removes much of possibility of leveraging the buddy arrangement just to get a shag) and that it would be someone fairly local to you (but not altogether necessary, but handy if you wanted, say, a wingperson for a club visit).

You get to know them socially and you becom each others safety buddy - you know when the other person is meeting and where and you expect a call or text by a certain time.

There can be an agreed codewords in (say) the text, or the call which the person uses to convey their situation - handy if its an uncomfortable situation and you're being overheard.

It's pointless having a safety network when you live 4 hours away... Would make more sense to have one closer to home surely.

I generally tell one of my friends or even my mum. They are close enough if I should need them.

However I don't phone or text to say I'm fine. I talk to them the next day.

I would just call or text if I was in need that day/night.
