Actually for those that say it's tacky you've probably never been. We got married in vegas. it's something completely different to getting married over here and much fun. If you want tacky it can be...but it is mostly in the way you do it. I've been to far more tackier weddings in a traditional church over here to be honest. |

I did! It didn't last!
I went to Vegas on holiday and we had (now this is tacky) a drive through wedding...the wedding photos are us on the back of a Cadillac with the registrar hanging out of the drive thru window. Makes me laugh how people claim they got married by mistake in Vegas, it isn't that easy...you need to go downtown to register to marry with your passport then you need to take the license to a chapel and book a wedding - yes it's easy but it's not as simple as just falling in and coming out wed. I'm going to Vegas again this year but won't be making the same mistake...what happens in Vegas doesn't stay in Vegas unfortunately |

Nope. If I'm doing it again I want the dream day that i didnt have first time. Groom I love, dress I feel special in, beach by forth bridgeso and a gazebo with fairy lights for the reception. Friends and family, lovely photos, kilts and bridesmaids.
Therefore I doubt it will ever happen |

"I always say there are lots of people who want a wedding and end up with a marriage!"
This is sooo true. We wanted to get married with the minimum amount of fuss and having a fun time for us....it's the only thing we've ever really done just to please ourselves. Our completely selfish moment. |

Haven't been to Westminster Abbey either, but if I hear Westminster Abbey and wedding I know the image of the proceedings is different from what the op suggests. |

"I married in Las Vegas, Elvis impersonator -- it was a great experience. Got divorced but three kids as the result of it ..."
But I'm sure you're not suggesting that a change of wedding venue would have changed the outcome of the marriage. |

"Would you marry at The Little White Chapel in Las Vegas??
"
I've been past it... There's a sing outside advertising that says:
Liz Taylor and Michael Jordan were married here
...although presumably not to each other |
