A question for the other muscular guys really, do you ever find it strange that our physiques seem to have a much greater sexual appeal amongst other males, than for women?
Why do you think this is?

It's probably a deep rooted evolutionary thing, subconsciously judging other men on their ability to protect themselves or their assets. Not all muscly men are alpha males and muscles doesn't mean good at fighting but on a visual level it must trigger something. |

I don't have a six pack, more like a one pack or a 'one barrel'...
I too get attention, mind you it's usually along the lines of you're a bit rotund. Should really loose that extra weight for health reasons... |

I guess like alot of other gay/bi guys it's always pleasant to look at guys bodies who look after themselves. Its great to go to the gym and perv. I've had some great meets from muscled guys to. Sliding my dick into a toned ass....yummy! What's not to like!? |

The satisfaction levels amongst guys with their bodies have dropped significantly in recent years, especially amongst younger men. They believe that they should have more muscular bodies than they do, and this is likely to fuel some fascination and maybe awe, towards other guys who are perceived as more muscular than they are. It's sad that more aren't comfortable being themselves, in their own skin.
Plus, there's a lot of bicuriosity around now too, so that's going to bring in admirers. |

I'm not gay, but when I was a teenager I used to enjoy an odd shuffle or two with various things up my back passage. No homo.
My philosophy is don't knock it until you've tried it |

Anal stimulation or getting strap-on fucked etc is nothing to do with being bi or gay. All men, whatever their preferences, have the same physiology and abilities to be stimulated. Search the forums for strap-on needing guys. |

Fuck sake..... I have no problem with saying another guy looks good or that I want to have certain physical attributes they have (ha ha ha.... Made myself laugh that time!!).
I used to live in a place where people complimented each other all the time.
And it was kind of cool... |

There is a growing tread amongst men of mental illness / anxiety for good bodies due to pressure from media etc similar to what women have had for a while.
I understand there's a term Bigorexia to gain mass by some.
I think I'm blessed with the ability to gain mass quite easily but prefer to train mu body as a system with good fitness as important as pure size. After starting running to train for the 3 peaks last year my weight dropped from 77kg to 75kg. But now it's gome back up to 78kg but have less fat. Looks good but have to invest in the proper running shoes to cushion my feet.

...I was actually asking more along the lines of sexual attraction?
For example, how so many guys seem to be naturally drawn to those with muscles in an erotic fashion, whilst women, at least on here, seem to spend a lot of time coming up with reasons why they shouldn't be. |

Must have been a lovely place where people freely gave compliments I do feel that there's a perception that if you're complimenting someone you either want something or fancy them sexually.
For example if I said to a man at work that the new shirt he was wearing really suited him and made him look great... People would probably think I was flirting. Then again no one would bat an eyelid if I said similar to a woman! |

As a naturally big guy, I have never really bothered about muscle on a guy. I have never really worked hard to gain it so I often forget they are sought after commodities with men.
I do train, but only because my knees are shot and I have no other way of keeping the weight off.
But my arms look ridiculous if I train them so I tend to keep it all low level.
I am quite shy and hate all the "Show me your biceps" comments I get. Largely from men...women just touch them. |

It was on the west side of LA and yes most freely say "your hot" or "I like xxxx".
It is sexual, but because it happens so often it's not taken as such.
I lived in a condo and there was a communal pool in the middle, you can imagine, but it never crossed the mark, I never had sex with anyone who lived in my complex, but we all complimented each other all the time.
At first, being English I found it weird, then you just fall into it and do the same... |

Are you suggesting women are naturally drawn to muscles but are fighting against this instinct for some reason? |

I appreciate a guy with muscles both physically and sexually as it tells me they "take care of themselves" as appreciate the discipline involved in achieving it. I far prefer running my nails and hands over a muscular body that is firm than running my hands across fat! ... Just my preference! ... And guys who work out tend to have more stamina than those who don't which again is a "requirement" for me. I'm 6ft 3 in my heels with 32 inch legs and size 6 dress size ... And like extreme and sports in general so also with a muscular guy have commonality as well that we both like to keep fit and then that transfers into the bedroom but that's just me and my opinion on why I appreciate a guy who works out and is fit |

Learn to run properly - you won't need cushioning at your weight.
Run on grass in bare feet - heel strike? No? There's your answer |

Growing since the ancient Romans and Greeks?"
Whilst those cultures did indeed place an emphasis on the visual beauty of a good male physique, it's not as though this ideal has perpetuated since then uninterrupted. For much of human history men have been valued for their strength and physicality, but with the modern age, society and technology largely doing the heavy labour these days, the emphasis has once again shifted onto male aesthetics.
Read The Adonis Complex sometime, it does a fantastic job of explaining the male mentality toward their physiques. |

I've seen plenty of women drooling 'virtually' at well built guys on here in the forums and there's no end of profiles stating a preference for muscular guys.
What evidence do you have to support your theory that women aren't attracted to them? Personal or specifically linked to others.
Because if it's the former.........

Well my personal favourite bit was the section on boys toys, where it goes into detail on how increasingly unrealistic the proportions of male action figures have become over the years, starting with I think was a 1950s action man toy which had a fairly realistic depiction of an athletic male physique, and those proportions then grew with subsequent releases through the decades, right up to a 2000s era Wolverine figure who, if he were life sized, would have something like 25 inch biceps lol. |

I am a bit confused. Surely it is about preferences. Some people what ever their sexual orientation would be attracted to muscles, some like lean bodies. I like muscles but if that is all they have to offer then an average body wins hands down.
I can admire womans bodies and compliment them but doesn't mean anything sexual.
