A bag of air?

Who else thinks football is a bag of air kicked around a muddy field by guys who wish they were 8 again?

I'm enjoying the lighter traffic past my house whilst the blokes are all watching that "game".

This might be the time to go to town - plenty of parking spaces!

Anybody with me on this?

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I don't really get any of the ball games but I've come to enjoy the set piece specials of the rugby and tennis. I can do the football ones in a sociable setting.

Prefer Rugby to soccer, though I still play 5 a side to keep fit.

I can't stand what the game has become and haven't followed the league for over 30 years.

I was heartened recently to hear about a similarly disillusioned bunch of fans in Manchester. They were so disenchanted with the sate of soccer, that they started their own club, each having equal votes regardless of financial or other investment. Hats off to them

Completely disagree. Don't like the cheating, etc but the actual game I love.

I can't stand rugby though, think it's so boring!!

There's nothing more pointless than watching a rugby forward being given the ball and making zero yardage running straight into the opposing forwards .. Grr

MAMOBA, miles and miles of bugger all (Aberdeenshire)

I love football, have done for a number of years now. Going to miss MOTD, roll on start of the season again...

My lover is trying to get me into rugby, which is a slow process as I just don't get the rules yet...

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

Charlie Brooker described Premier League football as 22 millionaires ruining a lawn.

Still love watching it, playing it etc, the money has ruined it somewhat with ticket prices and the alcohol ban doesnt help. I couldnt watch rugby though , a game for boring posh pricks, so they can run into each other and cuddle.

I loathe football, all every fan does is spend 4 days of the week talking about the last match, the other 3 talking about the up and coming one.

Bunch of overpaid prima donnas imo, prefer sports that focus on the skill of the individual.

Extreme sports like rock climbing, motocross, wing suit jumping, cliff diving and the like I find exhilarating to watch

I dislike football massively. I agree with its a load of men kicking round a bag on wind. It's all the play acting. Rolling on the floor clutching their leg like drama queens.

Now rugby is a great game. They can be bleeding and not complain. They carry on playing.

Football is a game where players spend 90 minutes pretending their injured

Rugby is a game where players spend 80 minutes pretending they are not injured

I don't like watching any sports but thousands of people do. I think it would be pretty rude of me to say it was pointless as so many people do enjoy it.

My husband dislikes the footy banter so much that he's taken to spending his work breaks sitting outside the factory. Otherwise the guys talk over him about football all week!

That's as bad as my colleagues speaking Hindi all day! Plain rude.

can take or leave it - dont like the fact it seems more like a such big money business more than about the game these days - find cricket and golf way more boring
