We have got singles blocked from mailing us now, after a run of letdowns 
The last mail we received from a couple was 3 days ago, which was in response to a message I sent them.
I can't remember the last unsolicited mail we received from a couple, but it must be a couple of months now.
We get occaisional winks, which sometimes we respond to, after we've looked at the winkers profile, lol.
We get 99% of our fun meets from people we already know, or from party or club visits, where we meet new friends.
There are regular threads in the forums from people who say they get "loads" or "hundreds" of messages every day.
Who sends you those messages?
Are they mainly from single guys who are prospecting, hoping to strike it lucky?
Do you get "loads" from couples?
Does the area, or location that you live in, have any effect on the amount of mail you receive?
Does having face pics on your profile have an effect? After all, if they can see you on your profile, they don't have to write and invite you to be friends to see them do they?  |

Single guys do message us quite a bit, yeah we have couples message us too, Im not sure if its in response to winks though. Chris does a lot of winking (got to make sure I spelt that correctly) so Im never sure if they've found us via that route  |

I get mail from young single men - under 40 - even though my profile says over 45!
I get couples - I'm straight so what's that about?!!
I get bi men - I'm not looking for bi men, they don't meet my current need.
I get married men - even though I say "no married men".
I get men that can't accommodate, only in hotels and my profile says "no hotel meets".
I received all of the above and variations of them within the last week, even though the first line of my profile states no meets until December because of medical reasons!!  |

well earlier in the year I put on my profile "not meeting new people at the moment" as I had a number of ongoing playmates and there is only so much time avaiable to play.....didn't stop the messages though....anything from 20 to 50 a day and occasionally more.
A few weeks aqo I ended up hiding my profile in an attempt to stop messages cos I was just getting wound up over the ammount of mail. Mostly this has worked...still get messages from my friends and current playmates, however, even now I'm still getting unsolicited male from some people who have seen me in the chat room...usually asking why I have hidden my profile. Not just single men....couples and females also message me but at least now I don't feel bombarded, lol. |

Don't seem to get any mail from anyone lol thinking something must be something wrong with profile? I hear people saying how much mail they get and we get maybe 2 a week, that's usually from people we know lol |

i get hundreds of messages weekely
but im a single woman who meets single guys so i guess you'd expect that
saying that i get usually around 5 messages a day from couples even tho my profile states quite clearly im only looking for single men off here
i also get probably 2 or 3 messages a week from single women |

We blocked them as soon as we knew how as too much mail to cope with
The last mail we received from a couple was today, which was in response to a request for a meet.
last unsolicited mail we received from a couple, at the weekend.
We treat these as per wink and checkout profile first and reply if interested.
We get a lot of our fun meets from people we already know, but this has developed over time. J does actively fish though and me too, occasionally, if we are wanting a meet as we like to meet new people too.

no idea as haven't moved but would imagine willingness to travel could have?

The majority of mail I get is from single male profiles. Last week I had over 200 unread messages in my inbox. This isn't to say they all meet my criteria or even that I meet theirs, they're usually just chancing a mail. I feel for the single men as they need to stand out from a crowd & whether they do or not depends on what mood I'm in when I open my inbox.
I don't get much mail from couples or if I do it's from the male side.
The odd single woman complementing me on my profile which is lovely. I also do this if I come across one that I like. |

I used different, more alluring pics, than we have on our couples profile. She didn't message anyone from it, she didn't use it in chat or in the forums and only had a few contacts, less than 10 in about a month, and most of them weren't local enough to go any further. |

lol, I put a reference on the profile that we had a joint couples profile.
At the time we were meeting singles, so it wasn't a fake profile as such. |

I find the time of day I'm online effects the amount of mail I get.
Online during the day in the week, about 1 or 2 for every hour I'm online.
Online after 6pm during the week, about 5/6 every hour I'm online.
Online anytime during the weekend, my record is around 15 for every hour I'm online.
I like just leaving the site running, and pressing refresh every 10 minutes or so, see how many I get up to.
Usually they are from single men. Occasionally couples. Only ever had one from a single 'fem', and 'she' left the site 30 minutes after messaging me. |

i get hundreds of mail a week and my pics show nothing of me at all really yet i still gte loads of mail |

Probably about 80% are single men and the rest couples and occasional single fems.
Out of those tho, 90% dont read my profile so get deleted and blocked.
Lots are not local and not withing my age range or married or ivolved with someone so no thanks.
Realistically only a small amount maybe 15 a month that actually interest me and all seems to fit but then a sever lack of free time is a prob. So I am lucky enough to have plenty of potential play available to me but not enough free time to meet them all.
I would prefer to be able to only get mail from those within my age bracket. Would be nice if the under 30s werent able to message me so a filter for that. That would save alot of time.
I am lucky as being a single bi fem with plenty of pics on my profile(lots of face/naughty pics in private)and many verfications then naturally I get lots of mail.
Would rather have 10 emails from those within my age rage than 50 for anyone 18 up to 60.
Am always pleased to get mail and feel very flattered too. |

I can get over 60 letters a day ,, lol see why i cant wright back to everyone, and loads from men here today gone tomorrow just had one .... I read it he left the site I cant make them ones out when its free here ... or maybe new name each day so can keep mailing thinking maybe better luck with nice new name.? jo xxx |

i tend to mainly get mail from people i already have spoke to but i do get a couple messages from couple's out of the blue per week.
i get random guys commenting on my pics aswell.
its been a while since a single women has contacted me randomly, well it was about a month ago |

was nothing like outher tato on the chest was hearts and flowers outher was name... but yes mirror could do that too ... after i told him never mailed again , we was getting on so well too. |

Like Jack we did an experiment a couple of years ago by way of setting up a single fem profile for H although we did make it clear that ‘hubby would be involved’. We had the expected ‘fresh meat’ bombardment but other than that it didn’t do any better than our couple profile at the time. I cannot remember the exact details but it wasn’t too restrictive.
I have recently been trying to do some research on swingers websites to try and get some idea of just how effective they are in respect of helping people meet/play with like minded folks and so far it seems that its all a bit of an illusion.
Recently I was informed by someone who used to run a swingers site. To validate new couple sign-ups they would telephone the people, and what they found was that only 1 in every 18 couples were genuine, the rest were hubbies signing up without the wife knowing anything about it.
I also found that on some sites that do publish their stats that at least 65% of new sign-ups are dead accounts the same day, that is they sign-up and never return.
The illusion… typically the people that the swinger site doesn’t work for you won’t meet, what I mean is if you meet someone through a particular swing site and ask them ‘does shaggers.com work for you’ the answer will always be ‘yes’.
This site has worked for us but we can almost count them on one hand. It pays off best when the ‘one’ invites you to a party, or you get to meet some of their friends and so this is what actually expands the circle.
Our inbox… 99.9% single males who are NOT single at all, they are married men looking for a free shag. The few that do progress to more chat with the view to meeting can also be decimated as 99.9% don’t work out. Out of the couples that contact us once again you can reckon that only 1 in 18 is genuine, hence it never happens.
But also don’t loose sight of the fact that opinions in these forms don’t actually account for much in respect of the bigger picture. The forumites are such a tiny tiny percentage of the overall membership count it cannot produce the true picture.  |

The bones of the initial question was asking, "who do you get most of your mail off?"
We rarely get unsolicited mail. We have singles blocked, so that accounts for most I would think.
I would be interested to hear from people who too, have singles blocked, but still receive "loads or even hundreds" of messages.
Are you doing something we're not, or are you just prettier than us? |

mostly cpls and some times 10 to 20 in a week messages and some times in a day and a few off single fems none off single men there blocked but the odd tv / ts why as there just not my thing as im str8 |

I havent blocked particular groups from my profile other than those i wanted to and i dont really get that many messages per week. It only seems to increase when the school holidays start, one which i find a bit odd unless the lads i get messages from are lying about their age.
If i want to block a group as i like Sassy, dont want contact from the young ones, i would much prefer it if we were able to block by age so that no-one in my case, under 35 has access to my profile, now that would be such an improvement |

I'm also a single woman and I dont get anywhere near these hundreds of unsolicited mail a day/week or even month comes from either!
there....i said it!
i just did a random search on a postcode and in that area (which was in the midlands so well populated i'd guess) was 300 men aged between 18-99...now, unless men are messaging all day every day...the same men that is...i don't know how a single woman in that area would get hundreds of messages...allowing for folk outside that postcode messaging...it would still mean that there are some pretty obsessive posters on this site...for all the single women to get hundreds of messages would mean that hundreds of men are sending out messages to every woman within a 150mile radius!
..or am i just bad at math?!
though it would perhaps answer why they only send one line.... |

I'm a single female, straight, don't meet couples or TVs and also seriously high on the fat scale as I'm a size 22. I have one pic on public display (my avatar) I won't accomodate and also state clearly that I only meet at clubs. However I recieve at least 150ish new mails a week, maybe ten of which are from couples. The rest are from single males. If I'm online in the early hours then I can easily recieve 50 in an hour, thats mainly just men that want to cam and someone to look interested whilst they wank though (which I never do lol) I don't for one second think these men email me because they think I'm stunning or have a great profile. I really believe that most email me because as soon as they read that Im a big girl they assume I'm desperate. Little do they know.. |

...and the numbers do increase if you're on-line...when i log on I get an initial flood of mail too..i never use the cam or chat so don't get folk in their e-mailing me.
however, to get the hundreds a day (i know you personally said week), you got to be logging on once an hour surely?! and in the chat 24/7!
mines a standard profile with no bells and whistles and i don't use all the facilities of the site. consider mine an average joe response |

...and the numbers do increase if you're on-line...when i log on I get an initial flood of mail too..i never use the cam or chat so don't get folk in their e-mailing me.
however, to get the hundreds a day (i know you personally said week), you got to be logging on once an hour surely?! and in the chat 24/7!

I never go in chat, I do log on a fair bit though since getting my new phone though. I'm not a site supporter or anything. I recieve more friends invites and winks then mail, but usually just bulk delete them when I remember. To be honest as I only meet in clubs I use this site more to keep in touch once Ive met people and chat to friends. I can't remember the last time I met anyone because they emailed me. |

We have single men blocked, so that sorts them out.
However, it does not stop other “non couples” from contacting us.
We get contacted by TS/TVs quite often, we have also had a few messages from single women. It states very clearly on our profile that we are looking for COUPLES not single people of any flavour.
Messages from couples are very welcome, but the amount we get fluctuates a lot.
When we first started using the site we would get many each day.
Now we don’t even get an average of one a day.
We probably get around 2 - 3 new contacts in an average week if we don’t include people we have contacted previously.
However, if one of us comes on line during the day time or we put up a message on our tag line or a meet today etc then we go back to getting loads.
If we include winks this would be a little higher, but we look at winks and then just wink back if we like them, often resulting in them not bothering to take it further to a message or anything anyway so they don’t really count.
Saying that, I don’t think it is a bad thing really. We don’t have the time nor the inclination to swing more than once every month or so. And the amount of meets we have had suits us perfectly.

Mainly single guys under the age of 25 who have not bothered to read our profile, if we mail back and decline them due to them being too young we normally get a abusive message back.
Starting to learn its much easier just not to reply. |

this site never ceases to amaze lol we have stated on our profile temp (fem) will meet wi single guys and if they wanna get in touch to msg her on her fem profile and NOT the couple profile (an open invite for the guys to msg her u'd think) so who do we get most msgs from on cpls profile ...... Need i say lmao |

Almost all my mail is from forum users insulting me in some way under the pretense of friendship.
I do get the odd (very odd) unsolicited email from couples and singles but the less said about them the better. |
