Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
I've noticed that our resident pundit, Fabio, is once again in hospital.
The last "virgil" for Hottie Bottie was successful and resulted in her retaining her appendix.
So, I'm lighting the tea lights and holding a "virgil" for Fabio. C'mon he deserves more support than an already dead cow.

"Get well soon Fabio. I can contribute 3 tea lights and a quarter of a Jo Malone blackberry & bay to the virgil. "
I'll light the big ginger tea candle that really tall woman gave me for my birthday.

"Hope you are well enough to watch Glasgow v Munster in the Pro12 final tomorrow - should be a cracker! "
Is that on terrestrial television? If not he may struggle.
He'll be happy if Arsenal wins tomorrow.

Make sure the person in charge of the list knows you have missed out on going to the final. All being well they'll keep you to your time slot so that you can see the match.

I put the "virgil" in inverted commas for a reason. See virgil for a cow thread.

Without weirding people out with what the op was.... I have never seen this many people both impressed and amazing how I was standing with what they found...
The good news is I managed a whole nights sleep and haven't needed to many painkillers
So I am obviously waiting to see what the doctors say but not feeling bad all things considering |

Go on, weird us out.
It's good to see you're on the mend. I know you must be annoyed at missing the victory parade but if it's any consolation my family was out in force with the rest of the Gooners.

If you end up with a big scar, Fabio, just tell everyone:
"Yeah, it was a buggar, her husband came home early from Samurai Sword practice."
(That's what I tell everyone)

"Good to see your feeling better..
although i would have expected much more ripping the piss out of any Villa fans thus far so not there yet..
"
As if I would really do that! Only save that for fans of clubs I dislike.... And spuds! Lol
For everyone else it's a case of "act like you've been here before!".... Unless it's unusually cruel or funny... Like spurs fans |

My nephew said that the songs and chanting were largely directed at Spurs at the victory event. You footie people can get quite rude. |

The first two songs sang by jack where standard for the occasion but I know spurs fans hate them
The last little ditty was particularly filthy and one I hadn't heard in years and anyone who admitted to knowing it is only going to one place..... Hell! Lol
It was funny and the cut away back to arsenal TV studio with the host trying not to laugh with his head in his hands and apologising was priceless |

Think you probably mean Vigil, OP.
Glad you're out of Hospital Fabio. Hope all is well, or on at least on the way to being well.

right.... as you all know i have not been well for quite a bit.... so i was in hospital for a pneumonia.... a few weeks ago i started feeling unwell again so i took myself in... this time they did a full scan... and noticed a huge abcess on my liver (god knows how they missed it last time...) so i had to have an emergency operation to drain that fluid (next time you look at a pint glass/bottle... imagine that full with yukky stuff that was drained!!!)
so now off again for at least a month... i am going to bore you all rigid... i am not allowed to drink alcohol! the antibiotics (almost ended up being fitted with a tube so i would have to do it that way!) i have to take are the size of torquay seagulls and i cant split them.... and they will be jabbing me to take bloods twice a week
but at least i am home.... still stiff... but home!
p.s anyone eating brekfast/lunch and reading this... i apologise |

Get well soon fella. I suffered with an abscess behind my tonsils some years ago and they cut inside my mouth and a similar amount came out. Yuk! |

Glad you are home and sorted, I once had double pneumonia drained via big needle through the ribs, turned out to be a tumour between the lungs aggravating them, but that didn't show up until after they had drained the lungs, sounds like your abscess may have been the cause but masked on the scans the same as mine, hopefully your problems are now solved after a few weeks on drugs and tests.
All the best, and get 100% well soon. |
