A sensible debate on nipples and areolae

I've just had a chat with a friend about breasts, nipples and areolae.
He contends that breasts shrink in the cold and although the nipples harden this is at the cost of shrinking areolae.
I don't think my breasts shrink in the cold.
What's your experience of this?

And he has experienced this personally?? I for one have never had my breasts shrink in the cold and they been exposed enough. Nipples tighten and elongate yes, areoles constrict again yes but never my breasts shrink  |

Thank you. My point was that men might experience shrinkage in the cold but women don't.

My areolae shrink in the cold or when I'm turned on or just when my nipples get hard in general.. But my breasts don't shrink, at least not noticibly |

Yes, he's practiced at noticing them swelling on arousal. He's also really good at assessing bra size without even touching.

They sort of contract in the cold
Went to Eurekas once in the winter with some of those diamante things that your stick around your nipples to decorate them
Put them on at home and they looked lovely,got changed in one of their cabins when we first got there and the nipple decorations were all puckered up because I was so cold 
Had to get some warm hands on them to sort them out! |

My boobs themselves don't change unless it's so cold that goosebumps count as a change. My nipples do go bullet like and there is some puckering of the areolae as a result but I don't thing puckering constitutes actual shrinkage. |

My areolae are quite large and they definitely pucker in the cold, a lot. That in itself maybe slightly pulls on the rest of my breasts altering the positioning a little. But shrink, no. |

The placebo effect is well documented as being almost as efficacious as the drug. You've got nothing to lose. |

I think firming up is a good thing.
I might persuade him that we should go to AbFabs tomorrow to test this. He was ruling it out as it's a bit chilly.
