Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Why not make up an individual pick and mix bag with some of each of them?

We took the kids to the cinema via Ikea's pick and mix yesterday.

The "share" bags are £3.25. As one of the teenagers said, who's going to share when it costs £3.25?

OK, what are you going to see? We can then match your chocolate choices to the film.

They used to sell chocolate coated toffee crisp popcorn. At £8 a box I think I know why they stopped selling it but it was lovely. Take something that doesn't rustle when you sneak it out of your bag

You don't need to sneak anything in, the only thing you can't take in is hot food!

So I saw on tv a few months back

You don't crunch them. You peel the chocolate off, trying not to nick the malty centre. Then you suck the centre.

Revels - save me the maltesers! Pretty please. enjoy the film. Can you stay quiet throughout the whole showing?

I'm going tomorrow - still can't decide which film to watch.

What are your choices?

We saw Tomorrowland. It's ok but only worth it because we had 3 for £12 vouchers.

Our son sneaks in two tubes of pringles in his coat(one for his sister). Looks hench but it's so obvious I think it also gives the staff a bit of amusement but they turn a blind eye to it.

I'm getting really confused with the cinema listings as all of them sound like films that have been made before and none of them look that good from the reviews. I'm getting old.

I'd put all of those in a lucky dip and just pick one.

I love the Screening Rooms near us, you get waitress service. Expensive but it's lovely for a treat, now and again.

Going to the cinema is now an expensive night out: a tenner or so for an adult ticket is not uncommon. Faced with costly tickets and food alike, it's not surprising that many people smuggle their own scran into cinemas.

Take a bag with innocent stuff in, so they can check it. Hide all the tuck in your pockets. I always pre-load from tesco with small juice cartons, sweets and chocs. I'd refuse a pat down search and if necessary get a refund if refused entry without agreeing, causing as much fuss as possible.

Thing that gets me is a film can be oh say and hour and a half long but the sweets whatever they are only last 5 mins

The last time I went to the cinema it cost 7/6.

That included the main film the support film, newsreels and trailers.

What many did was to go to the matinee performance for the main film. Then have a meal in the cinema restaurant (the meal cost extra) and return to the auditorium for the newsreels and support film before catching the bus home.

If you went to the evening performance you often had to leave before the end of the film to be able to catch the last bus.

Happy days

I always take a rucksack with sweets and drinks in it. Never been searched or asked what was in it. I think they know most people can't afford the snack prices as well as the cost of tickets these days.

My only weakness is the damn popcorn!
