Away with the fairies (Liverpool to you) |
Being alone in the world....I have a recurring nightmare that I wake up and no one else is here - not anyone....it's silent and eerie and I don't know what to do or where to go so I sit on the stairs and cry. I cry out loud even though I am asleep and wake up covered in tears with Pete holding me and kissing me - but it happens again and again |

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain... |

I need to repeat this when my fear takes over me. |

Nope.....I have a counsellor who helps rewire my brain but that is more about the day to day trying to fit into the real world while having Aspergers |

Really? Why? The world is no more full of weirdos now than it was when we were kids. I have a son but I don't fear this at all. |

Could you not mention that to her?
Do you think it's your Aspergers that cause the dreams? |

I know, but when I was growing up I didn't know anything about pedophiles, it wasn't on the news or in papers like it is now. |

When I was little I was scared of monsters under the bed and being home alone. I used to say to myself "I'm safe 24 hours a day , 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year, for infinity years" or if I was really scared it would be "I'm safe 60 seconds a minute, 60 minutes an hour, 24 hours a day......" So on. And because it was a bit of a mouthful to say all that and I was afraid I'd slip up and the monsters would get me, I changed it to "I'm safe 24/7/52/infinity" |

I bet it was, it was just that we didn't have the same amount of coverage. Example: the headmaster at my primary school was arrested and sent to prison for it, and it was reported all over the place. It's such a shame parents are made to feel frightened of such things these days, by media-saturation. |

I worry more about my son now he's 16 than when he was younger but he doesn't know that & I let him go out & live his life as wrapping him up in cotton wool isn't going to help him. |

I guess it's if something awful were to happen to me that I'd not be able to provide for my dependants or participate in the things we currently do together. |

Wasps!
Working as a gardener I have hit several nests while Strimming or hedge trimming. Luckily the most stings I have had is around 15 at once, but the fear is on a hot day and I hit a nest I will be covered by them!
Makes me shudder at the thought. |

I have mentioned it in the past but it's not something that happens all the time so not always a problem. As a child I was very isolated and non verbal so it could be something to so with it but I am happy now so it's all good |

Trivial fear is slugs, incident when I was younger getting out my tent bare foot in the night to go to the outside toilet, slug got mashed between my toes!
I fear anything happening to my child.
I fear never finding a boyfriend, been single 6 years and I'm not getting any younger. |

Having an argument with someone I love, and them suddenly dying before we'be had a chance to make up. I think that's coupled with my inability to stay mad with anyone for too long.
In fact anyone that I love dying full stop, that and getting too lost in my mind again and being unable to get out. |

The ONLY thing on this planet I'm superstitious about is talking about my fears.
I think about my fears.
But nobody knows them. I won't talk about them.
That's the only thing I'm superstitious about. |

Aside from anything happening to my boys. My biggest fear is hospitals. It's getting worse too. Now I even fear going to the Dr and avoid it at all costs . |
