I don't think it's your lack of verifications that are putting people off.

You could improve your chances by:

Going to clubs,

Going on chat and on cam, asking someone to verify you (not the greatest)

Taking some pics that are better, as they don't really show a lot and being a bit more creative with the blurb

Same problem every verified user had upon joining.

They managed it.
