Is it my duty to...

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I'm spending the day with the boys. They are still asleep.

Is it my duty to make them get up and enjoy the sunshine we have now in case it goes in? Or, should I let the little angels have a lie in because they've missed their own beds?

We will be going out later.

There's not much sunshine here these days, I'd be getting em out in it. Building dens and climbing trees and making rope swings

We are up, showered, dressed, breakfast eaten (not me mind I still have zero appetite) and getting ready to go catch the train to Margate for the day. But I was woken at 6am so we've had loads of time.

My boy is also still sleeping but as there isn't much sunshine about today I think I will let him carry on.... It will be his first lie in since the start of half term

We won't be doing that. I'm sure the Olympic Park people will object.

Wait until he's fourteen. He won't be so eager to get up then. Even with a lie in it's going to be a job to persuade the teenager out of bed.

Oh when that day comes I'll be marching up and down his room at 5am every day with a trumpet playing!! Revenge is sweet!

The kids had bunny ear clocks. No one allowed out of bed until the bunny ears went up. If they woke up they had to stay in bed, unless going to the toilet and then straight back into bed.

Your only duty is to enjoy your time together. Make them a really wacky breakfast and enjoy it in bed.

Have a great day

Let them sleep,no one likes miserable kids on a day out. London is nice in the evening if you run out of sunshine.

I was enjoying a lie in this morning.

Til our 'little angel' chose to wake me up.

The prospect of my gardening leave coinciding with the school holidays is not one I'm looking forward to.

We've agreed a time to go out. Everyone can roll over and have a nap now.

Gardening leave doesn't sound too good.

Probably not today. I embarrass them enough. Although, that is my job! They haven't taken to walking ten feet away from me...yet.

There's tree planting in the Park so we'll see if we can do that.

My kids do that but I'm just a slow walker now. I used to stride off with them tagging behind me.

I'm lucky as they're still willing to hold my hand, even though they are bigger than me.
