Does the forum affect your eating habits?

I find I see the word cake and want cake. A thread on Wotsits and Maltesers makes me want to go an open the packet of Wotsits that have been sitting in the cupboard undesired for the last month. I don't have Maltesers in the house so hopefully that desire will pass (or, more likely, be substituted for the chocolate in the cupboard).

So, please post tasty healthy food here and I hope it will influence me, and the others like me, to crunch on a something healthy.

Bugger! That's reminded me there is a packet of Jaffa Cakes in the cupboard. Actually they may need eating as I bought them ages ago. Yes, my cupboard really does contain a lot of junk food and it can sit there for ages or until someone on Fab mentions one of the items lurking in there.

I am planning a Mozzarella salad today. Thankfully there is no cake in the house.

I have a freezer full of all manner of lovely treats. Loads of wild venison, rabbit, pigeon, pheasant and duck. I also have kangaroo and crocodile burgers I picked up from Iceland. I had ostrich steaks too until the other day...;-)

It's cheap too. The burgers are £1.50 for two and I think the steaks are £3.

I'll have to ignore the cream - I have no cream making facilities here.

Someone mentioned pizza yesterday and I have just been out for lunch with my mum and had a super thin low calorie pizza thing, which was both lovely and not too bad all things considered.

If I had half the biscuits, ice cream flavours, cakes, condiments and crisps mentioned on threads available I would soon have to go into the spare bedroom wardrobe and get all my size 20 clothes back out of storage. If I don't buy them I won't eat them. If they're in the house I can't not.

Truthfully no, well ok if someone mentions having a coffee then i might break.

But generally no, i can't afford to, spent too many years not holding back, so for the last five years i've been paying a penance by hitting the gym hard.

So not just the forum, everywhere you go there's such nice food, but you eventually realize it's just empty calories, designed to be in and out fast just to line their pockets.

I do have them in the house but I can ignore them most days.

I'd forgotten about the pizza... now I'm wondering whether to get one and have it with my big salad.

I mentioned it earlier on a building related thread.

Apparently (according to one poster) I am sidesplitting although I think they were being sarcastic.

Well done you. Food images are everywhere so it can't be easy.

Realistically I need to lose two stone but I don't want to lose two stone so I keep eating as I do.

I don't shoot many squirrels, I kinda like them and only shoot them when asked by farmers. If I do then I do eat them.

There was a shop selling squirrel near me. It was fine until the press made it a story and they had to stop.

It doesn't no. I've been super duper healthy eating for about 5 weeks now and I seem to have kicked the cravings. Never been much of a snacker anyway but if there was cake anywhere within 5 miles I wanted it. Now I am not fussed and don't feel like I'm missing out.

Mine's mostly kale, but with spinach, cucumber, courgette, kiwi, strawberry, ginger, honey and a few leaves of mint from the garden. I'm quite surprised at the diffidence it's making to my skin etc. very impressed.

That's great.

I had to go on a total elimination diet a few years back with three months of now dairy, including the cow it comes from, wheat, chocolate and some sugars. It made no difference to my health (or weight) but my taste buds and cravings changed.
