I hope Newcastle go down, the fans have chased out some good managers in Allardyce and Pardew. They wouldn't be in this position with either of them in charge.

Your spot on Newcastle fans have to take some of the blame for hounding Pardew out of the job, we would not be where we are today if he was still there, and after all he could only do the job to his best of his ability with the tools he was giving

"Big sams that good..even west ham are thinking of dumping him??"

A good manager managing a team whos fans have unrealistic expectations.

Hopefully Hull. Newcastle are the kopites of the north east! Both have a very large sense of entitlement. Tho to be fair to LFC they have actually won lots in the past, not just the 'we finished second under keegan and ergo are a big club cup' and have a history stretching further back than 1992

Well getting booed off the field after you have won a game is one reason.Just because they didn't play a certain style of football.

As I said earlier on in the post Newcastle fans have o except some of the blame for parses leaving, but under carved it's been joke if they got booed it because we want a team to play with passion it's not always about winning, but in Carver he has not a clue about style of football he has tried more formations than you will see on strictly come dancing know wonder that fans get annoyed

This was aimed at West Ham not Newcastle.

The drop is no more than Ashley and the fans deserve.

Ashley sells the best players, doesn't reinvest to improve the team, the fans have an unrealistic expectation of what the team is capable of.

Even Mourinho, Guardiola, Ancelloti would be hounded out because they wouldn't be able to get results with the sqad they've got.

I'm no fan of Pardew but he's an underated manager.

Palace now safe and playing reasonable football, Newcastle without a clue and doomed.

Pardew could only work with tools Ashley gave him

Makes me chuckle to see the managers that Newcastle fans hounded out because they "weren't good enough" or "don't play the way Newcastle should be playing" now doing very well thank you with new clubs.

Even more funny when said managers come back with their new clubs and beat them.

The irony of West Ham sending Newcastle down is surely lost on them.

Newcastle are not a big club, they're a well supported club, who's fans have an unrealistic expectation.

If they were a big club they'd be competing for trophies every season, sometimes winning things.

Not mid table or battling relegation.

If they go down today that's twice in a few years.

Shocking.

Ashley needs to sell up or employ people who know about football, instead of agreeing with everything he says.

And breathe........

If it's not always about winning, presumably relegation would be ok as long as they play with passion?

Fair play to Newcastle today.

Couldn't have picked a better day to pull a win out of the bag.
