I'm with you on that one Amir ... not looking forward to an extra hour of darkness either (not that hard to work out was it!)

Seeing as I stay in Scotland am I allowed to agree with the OP and say yeah, I'm not really looking forward to it getting dark earlier in the evening either!

For some reason I knew what the OP was meaning, maybe it's a male thing!

I prefer the dark evenings as late afternoon shoppers are more drawn to shop windows when they are lit up well...my turnover goes up considerably on Winter afternoons.....

You jumped in there just before I managed to finish typing my post and blew my theory of it being "a male thing" right out of the water!

Hmmm, I wonder what else it could have been then?

Think of the advantages people.. you dont have to wait so long to go outside to have fun in the dark..

( although I prefer broad daylight) :D

Although i much prefer the long light evenings of summer, i have two points that make the early arrival of the dark acceptable :-

A) I feel safer/more secure going out 'dressed'

B) I get to use the stupidly bright & expensive off-road lights on my mountain bikes

Prefer dark evenings.....

Light ones are only good if we have the weather...nothing worse if sitting in at 9pm, light out and weather crap!! lol

don't mind the darkness so much as it's true the shops do look cosy and jolly but it's sad as soon as the sun has risen it seems it is setting.

I don't like this time of year...until the Christmas lights go up and I get a warm glow inside: and no it's not from any form of falling down water!
