Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I was going yo start a thread about him yesterday after hearing his interview on Front Row on Wednesday then seeing him on the One Show. He is so charming! He look fit and nothing close to his 80 years.

In Carry On he'll always be the young doctor with eyes popping out of his head at Barbara Windsor's boobs.

Those films were an integral part of my childhood. I haven't seen any of the shows he has been on recently. I'll log onto the iplayer and take a look.

My Grandad was the spitting image is Syd James and would have us in stitches doing his laugh whenever we all sat around the telly watching one of the films.

My personal favourite character Jim Dale played was the bungling Doctor.

Favourite film has to be Carry On Screaming. Some of the one liners in that film are classics!

Ahhhh such wonderful memories

So desperate for guests they dig them up.

He was great.

He's doing the rounds as he has a stage show about his life.

I didn't know he'd had death threats when he was a pop singer because he was outed as having a wife and child.

That's awful about the death threats. I had to google him. I feel old now, where did the time go?

Whoosh! There goes a bit more time.

He's had a really interesting career.

Didn't realise he was still going! Loved the Carry On films growing up!

Was Carry on Screaming the first colour one?
