I'm a massive beetles and Lennon fan.
The list is endless but
Get back has to be my favourite, I just love the rift and the drumming.
Probably closely followed by
Here comes the sun
She's leaving home
Don't let me down
Day in the life
Getting better
Ballad of John and yoko

Hard to believe they had such a massive portfolio with the little time they were together, 7 years ish.

"in my life
Johnny Cash does a better version of it. It suits an old mans voice." .
I could happen to agree with you there, there's been some great Beatles covers over the years.
I quite liked Shirley basseys cover last week of something!
Another great song I'd forgotten!
Or the banshees cover of dear prudence, another great song of theirs I'd forgotten lol |

"Or oasis,s cover of I am the walrus.... In fact the more I think of it, has anyone ever been covered more than the Beatles "
I think Spanish Harlem is the most coveted track of all time. At least it was when I was up to date with these things , which was about twenty years ago. |

Something, Come Together & Yesterday.
I loved Here Comes The Sun until it was constantly played at my old job last summer. Heard it about 20 times in a ten hour shift, torture! |

I suspect I could give a different answer every day, but always loved George and while Here Comes the Sun and Something are incredible, I have always LOVED While My Guitar Gently weeps so that's my nomination |

People overlook the small matter that The Beatles come together (SWIDT) in 1958 and didnt just appear in 1963. Many years of hard graft honing their undoubted musical talent ( dare i say genius?). |

I actually listed that one earlier.
Flukes of nature come along every now and then and Lennon and McCartney were quite simply the best.
Great writers write about what they know and mix it with heresy and imagination.
I remember listening to Lennon's plastic ono band album for the first time when I was about 20 and I still think it's the pinnacle of great writing full of every emotion with touches of beauty and poetry over laced along side sadness and madness.
Sadly taken away far to young.
