So here I am, having a quiet night in, in my hotel room.

No tv, no music, no background noise.

It's heavenly

I would be bored shitless

A few pints at the bar for me to kill the time

"I would be bored shitless

Had a cheeky pint earlier.

But with the normal routine of rattle and hum, a few hours of peace is lovely

Mind you if I had someone whispering sweet nothings in my ear

I'd be two bottles down by now

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Your hotel isn't in the middle of London then?

Or Newcastle. The place I had in Newcastle was so noisy I was keen to get back to the relative silence of London.

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

If you listen very hard you'll hear me singing along to some cheesy music.

Birmingham

I sit like that most evenings. Just me, my books and my phone.

It's one of my favourite times of day.

Sometimes you can't beat a little piece & quiet when you're in a hotel

Then you think fuck there could be a sexy lonely lady in the bar so jump in the shower, trim your bits, put on your tight white cabins and head to the bar. Then you realise you really should wear more than just calvins in a public place

Id have to have the tv on background noise, but would welcome the opportunity to just sit and chill without interruption from family etc.

Oh how I long for nights like that. Alone,no music, television noise, animal noise, people talking too loud. What's it like? Describe exactly how peaceful it is.

Newcastle

Silence is golden.

Unless you have children or a new puppy then silence is suspicious. Very very suspicious!!!

Tonight funnily enough.

I did the same glass of red a book and silence. Even the cat was snoring quietly
