ran a ground yet more embarrassment for this great country.

were it as ran aground, is like us crashing our car on our drive way.

lets hope its the only bad thing to happern to what should be our prodest ever technical achievement.

Ahem there's nothing wrong with crashing your car in your drive

As for HMS Astute, now that is embarrassing! I believe submarines have sonar and radar to avoid hitting the bottom amongst other sensors around the hull, it's almost impossible to do this. Silly Seamen.

It could be just an exercise for the salvage dept of the RN on how they'd cope with a stricken sub on a sandbank.

it might have radar , but if albert trotter was driving , it all seems like blibs and blobs

anyway the armed forces have millions of vehicles on the go at any one time and accidents happen , so we should give them a break
