Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Has anyone bought the blue or green lipstick?

Does it work?

Haven't seen the green one in action. By the blue one, do you mean Hello Sailor? My friend wears this all the time, it gives a kind of blackberry coloured stain, but it is quite faint. A bit like the purplish equivalent of Medieval, if you've ever tried that.

Yes, I do mean Hello Sailor. I haven't tried Medieval. I'm using Cupid's Bow Apollo at the moment.

Faint may not work for me.

Laura Mercier Black Orchid has a similar berry stain vibe but a bit stronger. It's more reddish and less blue though, which might defeat the point!

I'm intrigued by Frog Prince now, I always get suckered in by the things that promise to adjust themselves to your perfect shade...

They had Frog Prince in but I thought it was too pink on me. It might suit your colouring though.

I rarely wear lipstick. I always feel too made up with it on. But you two have gorgeous lips so suggestions to ease me in gently would be gladly appreciated.

Perhaps a lightly coloured gloss to start and then build up to more colour?

I don't usually advocate cheap lipsticks but get one of those multi colour gloss and lipstick sets from somewhere like Beauty Base and just try them out to find the tones that work for you.

I can wear orange clothes but I don't suit orange based lipsticks and need blue based colours.

Have fun.

Somewhere in North Norfolk

I've never heard of Lipstick Queen.

I like bright lipsticks or deep vampy colours but my lips are too thin to suit them. Neutrals look best on me

Being so pale I also tend to look like a wannabe goth in vampy colours.

I've got some gorgeous deep red, bright red and wine coloured lipsticks and am very sad they don't look that good on me.

Maybe I need some fillers to get a trout pout.

Do you line your lips 1st as you can create a fuller appearance that way?

Why did you buy them? Don't answer, I think I can guess the answer.

Yes but unless I keep to the actual outline it looks daft. I look like it was done by a child who couldn't colour inside the lines.

Okay what you could do for the bottom lip is not outline it in full, so start in the middle come out till you're about halfway and then take the line up.

Not sure if that makes sense!

YouTube is your friend, lots of great ideas.
