"Power surge? "

It does it every time I charge it , starts on red and then jumps high soon as plugged in.

Might try that with mine. I always put it on charge when it hits that red 20% mark.

My old one started doing that, i think it was being 'overcharged' by being plugged in all night. The battery may be faulty or near end of life

New update on iPhone thinks you've got the bigger battery of the iPhone 6 so all the batt stats are out. Also the battery on the 5's are naff

Look on line. There was a dodgy batch made, mine was in that batch and I got a new battery supplied and fitted for free

Ever since i updated to the latest iOS (dunno what version it is) my phone dies at 32% and dies faster than it did before i updated it. I only updated it a month ago.

I reckon it's something to do with settings on the phone draining the battery.

Well this explains my problem. Stupid update, why haven't they fixed this yet.

Try the battery doctor app ... It tells you how to maintain a healthy battery and also alerts you when battery fully charged to avoid over charging ... Mines lasted much longer since charging via this app
